    Fix repeated paper jams on Lexmark 901 Pro


    If you are getting a jam and there is no paper visible then a likely cause is a false jam that is caused when the paper is not picked up from the tray at the start of printing. Send a print job and listen closely. If you can hear the pickup rollers turning but no paper is being pulled into the printer then either the rollers are dirty or are worn and need to be replaced. Trying printing from a different tray or the manual feed tray to eliminate a fault with a different component on the printer.

    switch off the printer and wait for about 10 or 20 seconds then switch it back on then wen it has reinitialised its self go to your computer and go to control panel and devices and printers and on the toolbar that sais add a device then there is a dropdown menu called add printer then follow the instructions.

    My Pinnacle Pro 901 is set to print using black ink only but it keeps telling me I need to replace color cartridges and won't print.


    You won't be able to print if one of the cartridges is out of ink. The printer needs all cartridges with sufficient ink levels to prevent damaging the printhead.

    Every time a cartridge is replaced, all colors are primed simultaneously thus the need for all cartridges to have ink.

    Pro C 901 print outs are light. The yellow toner on the print out is very light.


    Poor toner coverage can often times be associated with either a faulty developer unit or a lack of developer itself.

    Touch the Ink Levels on the touch panel of your printer, press on More Options > Replace Printhead > Open the cover > release the latch > Pull the printhead.

    Select printers all in ones
    On the second page is the pro901.
    The drivers there will do the whole printer installation for you.

    I went through this with my 901.

    I had my original 901 Black cartridges refilled but my machine will not print. How can I get it to print with the refilled cartridges?
