HI,

Could be you just need to update your drivers, before you take it apart try this:

Follow the steps mentioned below to check what Updates are installed on the system.
See which Windows updates are installed
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/See-which-Windows-updates-are-installed

Error Code 0F00:133C
Msg: DISK- No suitable disk media is present.
This error message is encountered when you probably have a bad video card and/or flaky RAM.

Step 1:
Unplug all the External devices such as printers, scanners etc and check whether you encounter this error message.

Step 2:
I would suggest you to install the latest drivers for the Video card from the dell website and check
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen
For further reference check the article mentioned below.
Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isnt-working-properly

Step 3:
Iwould suggest you to configure Chkdsk to run when the system restarts next time. Follow the steps mentioned below to configure Chkdsk to run when the Windows Vista restarts next time.
a.Click Start and then Run.
b.In Open, type cmd and then press ENTER.
c.Use one of the following procedures:
Procedure 1: To run Chkdsk in read-only mode, at the command prompt, type chkdsk, and then press ENTER.
Procedure 2:To repair errors without scanning the volume for bad sectors, at the command prompt, type chkdsk volume:/f, and then press ENTER.

Procedure 1: To run Chkdsk in read-only mode, at the command prompt, type chkdsk, and then press ENTER.
Note: If one or more of the files on the hard disk are open, you will receive the following message:
a.Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)
b.Type Y, and then press ENTER to schedule the disk check, and then restart your computer to start the disk check.

Procedure 2: To repair errors, locate bad sectors, and recover readable information, at the command prompt, type chkdsk volume:/r, and then press ENTER.

I got this information @ 0F00 133C Error Code No suitable disk or media is present written by Thahaseena M, Microsoft Answers Support Engineer.

SOURCE: Hello, I have a Dell

You definitely don't need to get a new hard drive and you might actually be able to fix the problem without rebuilding it, although the chances are slim. Try the following though to be sure:

1. Unplug all peripherals from your computer. This means printers, keyboards, mice, anything. You have a laptop so that should be no problem.
2. Turn on your laptop and immediately after turning it on continuously hit the F8 key.
3. After the Dell screen you should be able to choose what mode to boot into. Choose Safe Mode with Networking. If you go past into the Windows update thing like last time just restart your computer and try it again. If it doesn't work twice in a row, you'll have to rebuild your hard drive.
4. If you can enter into Safe Mode with Networking and it loads up your OS correctly, continue on. If it goes into the Windows update screen you'll need to rebuild your hard drive.
5. Sometimes these error codes can come up when it's a problem with your video card. So go here and download and reinstall the video card drivers.
6. While you're still on your computer if you have an external hard drive, you could backup any data you need. This way if you need to reinstall the OS and delete everything on your computer, you can move it all back over to your computer after the new OS is installed.
7. Restart your computer and let it boot normally. If it works, congratulations, if it goes into Windows update again then you'll need to rebuild your hard drive.

When you rebuild your hard drive just put a Windows install disc into your laptop, restart it, hold F12, and boot from CD ROM. When you're choosing what partition to install the OS to just delete your current partition and then install the OS to that one.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!

SOURCE: Hi, I bought DELL INSPIRON

ok, the good news, the bad news, and the ugly.
Good news: buy a replacement hard drive and you should be good to go. Bad news: data recovery on a failed drive is a crapshoot at best- there are ways to try and recover, but they are stopgap (and cheap) or mostly reliable (and freaking EXPENSIVE)
Ugly: buy an external cage to install the hard drive, use a boot cd of Linux ( I've had better luck pulling files from NTFS drives using Linux than another install of Windows. Go figure....) and put the hard drive in a freezer bag- **** ALL AIR OUT OF THE BAG!. Put drive in freezer for 48 hours.
Pray. Pray hard. Pray harder still. Put drive in external cage, attach to linux system. Pull as much info as you can. Hopefully you can snag your important files- but that error is a pretty gnarly drive error.

My Dell Inspiron 6000 has Samsung Model MP0603H hard drive. The computer was working fine till this morning when it would not boot. I ran diagnostic using the Dell CD and the results stated: Error Code...

Those codes all apply to the hard drive itself..

Replacing the hard drive is all you should have to do.

Below is a link to a brand new hard drive that will work in your Inspiron 6000

I am getting Error code OFOO:133E and OFOO:063E How can i reformat my disk drive to just ignore any bad sectors?

Go into bios. Turn off SMART. If this is even available. This will not improve the situation. This error means that the drive is losing sectors. It is usually from a drop or from overheating. Your drive will stop working completely at any time if it starts at all. Copy the data ASAP and get a new drive.

Call Dell if under warranty. Start shopping for a replacement hdd if outside of warranty. You'll need
your OS disks that came with computer (hopefully). If you don't have OS/recovery disks, you can get
them from Dell or even using somebody elses (match version with sticker on your laptop).

Check the hdd connection underneath laptop - make sure cable is not loose, etc.

Probably safe to say your data is gone unless you're willing to spend $$.

Can't boot windows xp

it sounds like the easiest solution would to either run the repair sequence from a windows xp disk (may not be a perminant fix) if that doesent work just use the xp disk to format the drive and install a new operating system
