Light won't turn off of front loader model 796.4044

For a second i was thinking of a front end loader vehicle not a washer.
The light is on depending on the inputs into the main control board. The door lock could be causing this problem or the main control board could cause this type of problem.
Something a tech needs to analyse.
If you are mechanical at all try finding the door lock on repairclinic parts web site or appliance parts pro site. Many times there are fix it videos. Can't belive the switch would cost much. Alot less than the control board! Would eliminate one cause.
If you work on it unplug it!!

If you unplug and plug back in at least that should clear out the code and you can do a load. Not a permanent fix but better than not being able to do anything.

Hope this helps a little.

Samsung top loader washer no power

sounds like a controller board psu error
perhaps a capacitor has burned some connections
i know top loaders use motor start capacitors and some live connections unify at the motor and then one goes too the controller board ... so some can burn can cause this but most often
some safety component fuses

in all machines everything has power supplied via the controller board unless the heater element has gone and blown a fuse then its a job for a tech .... or a good pal with the right knowlage

My front loader does not get no water in it

Hello - Washer not filling with water can be caused by many reasons. Most common cause is a faulty switch that doesn't allow the value inside turn or a kinked fill hose. Other possibilities can be water valve faults, faulty control board, pressure switch or wiring failure. Are the house valves turn on fully? Contact a professional to move forward accurately?

Samsung washer machine error code dE

DE indicates a door lock error.

Either the door lock, wiring or main control board can cause this fault. The door lock is relatively inexpensive so it would be worth trying a new door lock first.

Check the wiring between the door lock and the control board. If a new door lock doesn't fix it and the wiring is ok you are only left with the control board.

Hope this helps.

My machine will no longer agitate. Can it be repaired or am I going to have to buy a new one?

It depends. Is this a TOP LOADER? Or, is this a FRONT LOADER? What is the MODEL NUMBER?

If this is a Whirlpool manufactured TOP LOADER (such as Estate, Roper and Kenmore), a no spin problem can have several causes. Most commonly, this is caused by either a lid switch malfunction or a broken motor coupling. The following link explains how you can diagnose the problem yourself and repair:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3965207-whirlpool_top_loader_no_spin_problem

Secondary causes can be a defective gearcase or drive motor. These problems are less common, but still not that expensive or difficult to repair. Both, the gearcase and motor average about $150 to replace if you do the work yourself. That's still much cheaper than buying a new washer. I can give you guidance on both if it comes to that.
I would recommend you review your symptoms and check the lid switch or motor coupling, first. These problems are the most common and least expensive to repair. The lid switch averages about $25 to $35, while the motor coupling usually costs about $15. If this is a FRONT LOADER, a no spin problem can be caused by either a failed drive motor, or motor control unit (MCU). In most cases the MCU is the cause. This is a non-serviceable control board that must be replaced if bad. Prices vary depending on model number, but is still much less than purchasing an entire new washer. Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. The first three sites I listed also include helpful exploded view parts diagrams to assist you in locating and properly identifying the parts you may need. If you do not wish to order parts on line, use the part numbers from the Sears website and go to your nearest appliance parts retailer. Most of these parts are commonly sold as part of their in-store inventory.

Read through the information provided. If you have any questions, please post back with your complete MODEL NUMBER and let me know. I hope this is helpful to you.

1999 maytag neptune washer stops after filling up with water

There are a couple of common causes for a problem like this. First is a bad door lock assembly that also damages the machine control board (in the control panel). If this is the case the R11 resistor on the machine control board will be burnt.

Maytag has identified seven resistors that relate to specific components that need to be checked or replaced if the resistor is damaged. Listed here are the resistor identification, the circuit involved, and the recommendation:

R9 / pressure switch / check for loose connections or high resistance on switch contacts; replace pressure switch if necessary.

R11 / door lock wax motor / replace door lock mechanism and machine control board.

R51 / hot water valve solenoid / replace water valve and machine control board.

R52 / timer motor / check for loose relay terminal connections and replace machine control board.

R53 / cold water valve solenoid / replace water valve and machine control board.

R143 / (-) 24 Volt DC / contact was made between neutral and the 24 Volt DC circuit.

R162 / electrical buffer circuit / wire harness and machine control board.

Another common issue is a slow water fill fault. If the washer does not fill within a certain time the control will stop on a fault. Usually when this happens the START button can be pushed to continue the cycle.

Washing machines that won't fill or fill slowly often have a restriction in the incoming water supply -- usually in the screens of the inlet hose washers or the water inlet valve itself. Remove the hoses to inspect this condition. If the water inlet valve screens are plugged, replace the water inlet valve.

1999 Maytag Neptune front loader

Have you replaced your 12002535 door latch wax motor if you have a MAH3000, MAH4000, MAH5500A or the 2000 stacker? These wax motors will eventually fail on every Neptune shipped. When the wax motor fails the upper machine control board be damaged and you will lose your spin function which leaves your clothes soaking wet. There is a website that offers a repair kit to see if your control board is useable again. Don't keep starting machine because you might cause further damage to control board and the motor control board located near the floor until you see if R11 is burnt on the upper machine control board located behind the timer.

Leak samsung front load washer

Hiya bcd1...what model number? see below info.. is yours one of these?

The front loading washing machines have been known to leak water onto the electrical connections to the machine's thermal sensor, which could cause an electrical short and ignite a circuit board, causing a fire.
The recall covers 250,000 Maytag washers and 20,000 Samsung front loaders.
Maytag machines affected have model numbers beginning with MAH9700 or MAH8700. The Samsung washers have model numbers beginning WF306BHW and WF316, although not all serial numbers are subject to the recall.

learn more detailed information about the recall by visiting Whirlpool...or Samsung's at www.samsung.com/washerrecall.

Hope you find useful!

MAH5500BWW model fuse blown

You probably need the motor conversion kit 12002039. This Neptune motor / motor control board has a high failure rate. To determine this you need to remove the front cover and inspect the motor control board near the floor on right side for burnt components or a blown 10 amp fuse. If you have burnt components or a blown fuse then your motor control board has failed and needs to be replaced. See www.neptunewaxmotor.com for Neptune disassembly pictures and other neptune information.
