Question about Power Acoustik I-TEC T2406 ISTEREO UNIVERSAL WIRELESS SPEAKERS/CHARGER

Cannot Sync Speakers with the Base

I found this speaker set in the basement of my girlfriend's parents' house and went to set it up. At first it worked great but after we shut it off we had no sound. After looking online, I found out we needed to sync the speakers with the base, but the USB receiver doesn't seem to be working. We have everything set up like the manual says, but the light on the back of the USB receiver will not flash. Anything we can do or is it just a piece of trash?

SOURCE: alpine system in car has no sound

Your amplifier has no power because it has no supply, it is maybe because there is an open circuit in your wiring. The voltage from your battery does not produce current in your amplifier because it is not connected. In other words, Somewhere in the circuit in your car amplifier is open or not connected. Obviously from the amp and speaker has no connection and the fuses are ok. Friend the problem maybe is in these, try the following:
a) the switch in you amplifier might be in trouble. Try to see the switch if it can perfrom the desired operation, in other words, do the contact point is ok?
b) if the contact point of the switch is ok, then try to see the connection from your amplifier to the battery.
P.S. If this be of help, please rate.

SOURCE: I wired everything up in

hi,
You have to check the wiring of the Main speaker. By i means you have to check the "wire" for the main speaker from the payer to the speaker. If you have use 4 speakers then you have to check all the wire of 4 speakers. Because if any one of the wire touch to the ground (chase) any where due to the bad insulation the the player will not out the audio. It will sence the short with the groun and will switch off the ouput amplifier. My be the wire is touching some time that why its works for weeks and then go off. Also you have to chek the leads of the speaker is there is any conact to the ground (chase). Also check for any short between the speaker wires. If so this will happen. This will not affect the sub. That way its work perfectly.
ok

The right main speaker has no sound but the left side and subwoofer work just fine

if the speaker has been at all moved the wire could have broken i currently have a cyber accoustics ca-4400 set and the wires are very flimsy looking and i previously owned a ca-3001 set and the sub wire on the 3001 broke after a simple move up from my basement and i went through like 4 power supplys on it until i just bought a non cyber acoustics supply so cyber acoustics cords are VERY flimsy and that may be why you are getting no sound from your right speaker

No sound on parent unit

Posting this all over, common issue...

Okay, a couple of things.

This speaker issue seems to be a common problem, and I believe it most likely occurs due to rough handling of the unit. Although it seems to be fairly rugged, it should be treated gently. In general, I would only handle it as much as needed, and be careful when setting it down, and make sure it doesn\'t get dropped.

With that being said, the unit can be opened, however doing so will break at least some of the "snaps" that hold it together. If it is out of warranty and you need to get into it, this is a necessary evil.

Step one: Remove the battery cover (one phillips screw) and battery. There is a second, smaller phillips screw that also must be removed.

Step Two: At this point, you are ready to separate the unit. Using multiple flat head screwdrivers, pry the unit open (starting on the right side when looking at the unit from the front) then "wedge" the pried open area with a second flathead screwdriver as it will naturally want to close back up. Continue working your way around the unit, being careful not to crack the screen. You will break some tabs along the way, but I see no way around this as they are not visible to try and release them any other way.

Step Three: Once you have separated the two halves of the unit, the power button will have fallen out. This is okay as it will slot back into place when you reassemble the unit. Just set it aside and do not lose it.

Step Four: I do not know the exact failure mode of the speaker, however you will find that it is apparently strongly secured in the housing with an adhesive (epoxy or some sort of resin) and if you had to remove it it would be difficult and not very fun.

MY SOLUTION: I hooked the battery back up and turned on the music feature, which should play music from both the camera and the parent unit. In my case, I found that tapping hard on the speaker (it took more force than you would think) would cause the music to momentarily play. I found that wedging a screwdriver between the plastic housing and the speaker body would make the speaker play. I used a small nail (like a trim nail for small trim) and wedged it between the speaker and the housing, then trimmed off the excess of the nail.

This solution is not ideal, but it was relatively quick and worked to keep the unit functioning for now. I imagine that there is some sort of connection that has failed internally in the speaker, and that wedging it has (at least temporarily) reformed the connection. I imagine that a new speaker could be installed with some work to remove the old speaker, and then a new one soldered in and glued into place.

Once I got the speaker working, I disconnected the battery and carefully replaced the power button, then the two halves simply snapped back together. I replaced the screws and reinstalled the battery, and all has been working as it should. The case does show some damage from my prying, and it doesn\'t fit as tightly as it used to with the broken snaps, but it does hold together and doesn\'t have any issues in normal use.

In all, it certainly beat buying a whole new unit, especially since it was working just fine other than the sound. Good luck!

No sound

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
