On Rancilio coffee machines, the meaning of the green and orange lights can vary depending on the specific model and configuration of the machine. However, in many Rancilio espresso machines, the lights are used to indicate certain states of the machine during operation. Here are some common interpretations for the green and orange lights:
Green Light: The green light on a Rancilio coffee machine typically indicates that the machine is powered on and ready for operation. When you turn on the machine, the green light should illuminate to show that it has power.
Orange Light: The orange light often indicates that the machine is in the process of heating water to the optimal brewing temperature. Once the water reaches the correct temperature, the orange light may turn off, and the machine is ready for brewing.
Blinking Orange Light: A blinking or flashing orange light might signify that the machine is in a heating phase, and the water is being heated to reach the appropriate temperature. This is common during the initial warm-up or after the machine has been idle for a while.
Red Light: Some Rancilio machines might use a red light to indicate specific alerts or warnings, such as low water level, need for maintenance, or other issues
... this: Sensing led (Green) on, the lid locking led (Red) blinking with a clicking noise ... red led light goes off green led light stays on and the washer does not start.
This is actually a fairly common problem with many coffee or espresso makers. When both lights are blinking just shut the machine off, wait about 5 seconds and turn it back on. It should work fine. If not, give another shout out.
Try picking up the handle where you put the coffee and kinda slam (not too hard) back down. I found that resets the coffeemaker. Also when you make coffee I also noticed that you when the water is hot you have to pick up the handle again and put it back down then the two blue lights start to blink and you decide what size cup you want.
Hi The LED should be blinking red not green on a magic delux. The only green light is the boiler light for warming up or ready. If its the brew unit light it means its missing. Open the door on the right. The brew unit is the thing with the handle that has the “press” on it. You need to push on the upper left side of the brew unit until it clicks. There is an outlet spout on the opposite side of where you are pushing. It goes into an intake port that needs to be lubed, so the outlet spout will slide in without pushing back. That should take care of the missing brew unit.
A couple suggestions. Unplug the usb cable from the pc to the printer, make sure there is no paper jammed in the machine, unplug the machine from the wall and see if you can move the print head left to right freely. If nothing is obstructing it plig the power cord in with out the usb cord plugged in. See if the machine goes to ready. If all of these fail, that means the main board has been damaged by a power surge, and it would be cheaper to replace the machine than repair it. Good luck!
