It may be the dc connector on the motherboard is broken. Take it to a repair shop and ask them to confirm whether it's the dc connector or your power supply that is faulty before ordering any replacement equipment.

Remove battery and power
Remove memory in lower socket, the one on the system board and try reboot with just power cord. May have bad socket
