SOURCE: Westinghouse Wall oven mod.PON 667S

Hi there.

Westinghouse have produced a modification which replaces the left and right door support channels in the front of the oven.
Call Ryan Nielson Spare Manager at Axial Appliance Servicing www.axial.co.nz
in Mt Wellington Auckland, and he can sell you the reinforced parts which cost me $27 for my oven.
I am replacing these channels myself this weekend as warranty no longer applies to our oven, but if yours is still under warranty I'd suggest that Axial will do the whole job.

SOURCE: oven door not closing properly

If it is a drop down door with hinges on the bootom of the oven door, then it is likely to be weak door hinge springs, the usual solution is to replace both hinges.
If it is a swing open door, then the problem is related to a worn or broken door catch, or worn striker pin.

Both oven doors do not close properly. lights stay on & can't heat properly with doors not closing tight. is there an adjustment for these doors?

We have similar Jen Air double oven and with the same problem but only on the lower oven. The doors are interchangeable and the top door fits fine but the lower door will not close completely at the top. It does turn out the light but has never cooked properly. I checked with several appliance repair shops and the hinges are not adjustable, but since one door closes and our other doesn't it is not a hinge problem, just a defective design.

We let this go too long and are out of warranty so I doubt Jennair is going to do anything. I hope someone post a solution but it is clearly not problem with the henges but with the receptacle they go into.

Oven takes forever to heat up - its a thermador double oven - me272

Hello- Check these things first-  Door seals tend to get stiff over time. This is normal. Door hinges can become loose or get bent a bit, causing door to not close tight. This little gap can allow heat to escape, causing extended pre-heat times and frequent cycling of elements. If door doesn't seem to pull shut tightly- hinges will need to be replaced. If oven appears to operate normally otherwise, this should solve problem.  Let me know if the info helps- have more if needed- Thanks  - Ed

We have a 30 in prostyle electric double wall oven - the oven takes forever to preheat and the doors do not seal tightly when they are closed.

Hello- Many ovens use spring-loaded hinges to carry the weight of the door. Over time, these springs weaken or the hinge gets bent just enough to not fully close door. The door gasket can also become flat and stiff, compounding problem. Any small gap releases heated air, and oven will not heat up properly. Replacing the door springs should solve problem.- Thanks -Ed

Beko SC152 oven door will not close properly, couple of mm gap at the top and heat is escaping, please help regards adele

your door hinges are probably worn, theyre under spring tension.
go to your local appliance repair shop with the model number and they can order you some,or arrange to do them.
hope this helps.

Cant get the oven door to shut all the way??

Try opening the the door a few inches and lift it straight up. Then push it straight down. It should slide on the hinges up and down. You need to seat the door properly on the hinges. Don't be afraid to man handle it but, be careful the oven may tip if it's free standing. Good luck. Please rate me so I know if I helped. Thanks.
