Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Hello Bilcur, the phone must have been stolen. i got one from e-bay and had no problem with it. and i sold one on e-bay and they had no problem with it. so if it was never activated when purchased that would be the only reason why ST would not activate it.

SOURCE: Cannot read letters & numbers
This is the most common failure next to the base station going out, the problem is the screen displays have failed, the parts are no longer available due to the age, 4 years is a really old item in the electronics world. Your only real alternative here is to replace the phone set with a newer model. Based on my experiences a brand that is very reliable and offers a a reasonable price is the Uniden brand. Stay away from VTech, they are very short lived phones, and are prone to the display screen failure issues.
