SOURCE: ZR80 Mini DV Digital Camcorder: I have a blinking red icon with a slash through it...

Sounds like the memory battery indicator. Does it look like a button battery with a slash? If it is, you probably cannot set the date and time also. It takes a CR 1616 button battery and goes in the window behind the main battery.

SOURCE: when/ i/ press/ the/ space/

Thats a hot key problem. Someone has set a "hot key" on your space bar to make it type that when pushed. Hot keys can be set to do all kinds of things. Like set a combination of pressing two at once to change someones display sideways as a joke ect.

You can turn of hot keys in your computers settings. I dont know what operating system you are running so I cannot give you exact instructions. Just open your help file and type in hot keys and it will tell you where the settings are.

How do I delete an Icon with the letter M in it which appears by the battery info

The Android "M" Developer Preview's second release was released just a short while ago, and we've already discovered an outstanding new feature: the ability to individually enable or disable icons in the status bar. In fact, if the only icon you want is your battery and clock, you can have that now - everything else can be removed!
To access the settings, you'll need to have developer options enabled. From developer options, there's an option to enable the system UI tuner, which then appears in the main settings tree near the bottom of the list.
There are also other changes to the tuner - you can show your battery's remaining percentage inside the battery bar now, which is also very, very nice and something we love very much.
What exactly demo mode is, I'm not sure - it appears to set all the status bar icons to their "on" states, but only certain ones. Demo mode, as one of our intrepid commenters pointed out, is probably for developers taking screenshots or videos of their apps. It forces notifications off the status bar and sets the bar to display cell signal, 100% battery, and locks the clock at 5:20 - so you can have a consistent status bar. Very handy.
But either way, these two other changes are amazing.

What does a padlock mean by Facebook in the search bar

The lock icon in the Status Bar and the Location Bar of your browser indicates that the current web page uses encryption mechanisms for securing the connection in order to prevent malicious Internet users from reading and modifying the exchanged data between your web browser and the web server. Next to the lock icon is also displayed the actual domain name to which the encrypted connection is being transmitted.
You should be aware that the lock icon simply indicates that the connection between the web browser and the web server is secured. It does not guarantee that the information will be securely handled after it arrives at the web server. Therefore, you should ensure that you completely trust a web server whose web page shows the lock icon, before typing in private or personal information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details.
If the web page mixes both secure and insecure data, then a lock icon with a red slash over it is shown instead. This means that the current web page contains items (such as images or iframes) that were not obtained through the encrypted connection.

My hotspot on my iphone5 doesn't show icon for it anymore

if you are talking about turning on the personal hotspot, that is in settings. It is the 5th icon from the top. If you are talking about the two interlinked oval icon showing you that you have the personal hotspot active, you'll see that on the status bar at the top next to your 4g or LTE symbol when you are on the lock screen. If you are in your phone your status bar should be blue with the words "personal hotspot. 1 connection" or how many ever connection you have. If you are using a device to connect to your phones personal hotspot you'll get the interlinked oval icon in the top left corner.
