To be sure I'm covering both the what and the how, slide the door open. Remove old batteries if still there. Clean up contacts with a bit of fine steel wool if they are corroded or covered with old battery fuzz. Put new batteries in - negative end towards the coil springs generally. Replace sliding hatch.
hello! your issue has nothing to do with "thermal switch". while you have replaced the lamp, you could lose a piece of plastic hardware, in front of the lamp housing. It pushes auxiliary interlock switch, right under the front of the lamp compartment. If you take lamp out, use flashlight and shine inside. There is a little switch at the bottom. Try to make the lamp housing push it, without breaking anything. you could get "generic" lamp with housing, which is not correct. Anyway, that's the deal. Also: don't forget to install lamp door and turn the handle clockwise! there is another switch. I've seen people who forget to put that door back! Really! good luck, Alex.
Locate the turrent on the top center. Just behind it is the On/Off switch. Behind it are 6 black, round engine-looking pods. That is the top cover. There are two tabs right behind the On/Off switch you push back on to remove the cover. Grab your screwdriver and remove the battery door. Uses 3 "AA" batteries.

On a Whirlpool you can check the bottom front black vent piece, filter cover looks like a half-moon shaped cover. Its under the freezer side. There is a thumb-sized black push button next to it which will 'eject' the filter. Push on the black button and the filter pops out
I have the same problem. I did manage to release one side of the toy bar (left side when looking from front) by pressing very firmly on the red plastic tab that's visible underneath, using a metal tool. But on the other side of the bar, the holding tab is hidden by a white plastic cover, which itself is held by 4 white plastic tabs that I couldn't release.
look in and around where the blower motor is located. there has to be a filter compartment there. probably near the bottom as it looks like an upflow heater. make sure the filter door is closed. it may have a door interlock switch that cuts the burner out if it is not fully closed.
