SOURCE: NO SIGNAL PROBLEM

Please check whether the monitor is set to the correct settings. If you feel its incorrect, most LCD/TFT monitors come with an auto set up button which will restore the display to one that usually works. In case it still doesnt work, you might need to connect your pc to a different monitor and check the display settings. You could also try to download the drivers for this monitor and then re-connect the monitor and see if it works.

SOURCE: i have an asus LCD monitor...with a docking

laura_vangun, Make sure that ALL the connection points are clean and dust free. also check to see if any gold contacts are bent or broken or have been pushed further into the plastic body of the connectors. (all the connector pins should be same height) If problem persists then try connecting ASUS to KNOWN GOOD desktop pc to see if it still won't display an image of the desktop. Also tell me AGE and or approximate total "on" hours of use this unit has on it. Is it still under warranty? What EXACTLY do you see or hear when you push the "ON/OFF" button to start(power-up) your ASUS unit? Do a comment to your original post and I will try to be of further assistance. 12fixlouie on fixya Bye for now.

You might try going into the computer's BIOS / Setup and set the video settings there. I'm not familiar with Asus, but it should tell you upon boot-up which key to press to get into Setup. That's assuming this model can handle HDMI.

Try pressing the S/A button to change input sources.(the button on the far left on the front of the monitor) Chances are the cable got unplugged, then the monitor when into analog mode and its now stuck there, because many monitors default to analog.

SOURCE: why does my asus monitor always read "no signal".

nah that happens with me sometimes..
have you connect the cable properly?
if that still can't make it works, first turn on your PC and monitor..
then plug off the cable that power them, so that your computer and monitor will suddenly off..
plug it on again, then your monitor will work again..
that works on mine cause my CPU is too old and had a power problem..

I connected up vga and HDMI cables and power, etc to ASUS desktop. All inputs are without signal. If I set monitor for vga, it says no vga signal. Same if set for HDMI input: no HDMI signal.

I would check your source for why it is not sending signal rather than why the monitor is not receiving. Of course, that being said, is this a new monitor or an old one that could be shot?

There is no 1366x768 resolution item in setup menu for my monitor using.

Hi , your computer may only be configured for a generic display monitor which may not support your desired resolution . If so install the latest display's inf ( driver ) file and then after restarting access the display resolution applet and configure as per the recommended setting

Asus led monitor model vh197 shows no signal on screen and no display ,screen became dark

Good Day Dasarathi!

Please check the VGA cable if its properly connected and make sure two screws are fixed to both end connecting the monitor and the video card.

No signal comes out when there is no signal from the video card to the monitor. That is why you need to check if the VGA cable is fix to both end.

If that did not fix it, you will need to open the casing of your computer. Disconnect the video card from the motherboard. Gently clean by wiping a clean clothe over the contact surface of the video card. Then, reseat the video card properly to the slot in the motherboard. Return the casing cover and connect the VGA cable again.

Just remember doing the above procedure is only when the computer is turn off.

Turn on your PC and see if that fix it.

You will need to replace the video card if by booting the PC you will hear a series of beep codes. If no beeps then you are lucky VGA cable is the faulty one.

Want to use my tv as a monitor, how do I activate the vga output?

Hi adiazjr. On the Asus 1000he, in order to switch to an external monitor you need to press the function key (Fn) at the bottom left of the keyboard and the F8 key at the top. When you press both of these keys at the same time it will send the video signal to whatever external monitor or TV you have connected. Hope this helps!

Monitor Problem

Well assuming you used the same video cable when you tested the monitor on the Asus PC you?re left with: - Physical problem with the Asus video card. - Asus video card configuration problem. - BIOS configuration problem - Possibly a problem with the DVI/VGA adaptor depending on the answer below. A couple of questions about the Asus before we start: - I?m not sure I understand how the DVI/VGA converter figures into this. Is your cable coming off the monitor DVI thus you need it to plug into the Asus VGA connector? If yes who is the manufacturer of the device and what model do you have? - Has the Asus worked in the past with another monitor or is this new? - What is its history/configuration?
