This could be more than one thing. It could be the power supply has failed or it could be the lamp itself. So do you have any indicator lights on the set that work?

Testimonial: "It has no indication light that works. It just went out and never came back on..Prior to this the image was going darker and darker.."

This is troubling because if the lamp burns out, you have an indication that there is power to the unit. If there is no light on the front of the set then it is usually the power supply board. There is a fuse on that board but it is not user replaceable in most cases. The fact that the picture gradually was getting darker could mean the bulb failed. The bulb is powered by a ballast so that could also be the problem. Bulbs are about 65 dollars. The place that I get parts from is

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-52525 52-inch DLP HDTV ywllow warning lamp light

that means your lamp it is getting to the end of its life.
sometimes even if the lamp still good the TV will send you that message because that timer is closed to 5000 hours

What you can do is open the lamp door, closed again and the tv will ask you if you replaced it the lamp, and just say yes and that sign will go away

or just simple replace the lamp. 915P020010

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-62527. Dark picture.

That unit is a two mirror set. Meaning the light engine lens shines down onto a small mirror and that is reflected onto a large mirror and then onto the screen. Gravity being what it is dust and other contaminants cover the lower mirror. Moving the set would only aggrevate dust settling on it. To fix the problem the screen must be removed and the mirror cleaned. You won't believe the difference. It will be like watching a new tv.

Can only view image in a very dark room.

If you need it you can get the user manual on this link; check page 29 - brightness setting adjustment just to be sure this is not the problem. check page 36 - lamp mode - try high if not already set on it. Check page 42 - cleaning the filter - this can stop the projector functioning properly, but i don't think it's the problem in this case If the image is being projected exactly as normal, apart from the brightness, then the problem is most likely a failing bulb, despite the low hour count. Just possibly (but unlikely)there is a power supply problem that is not feeding enough voltage to the lamp, only way to tell for sure would be to either get a meter on the lamp terminals, which looks practically impossible with the lamp in place, (possibly will give a reading without the lamp, but the terminals may be disconnected from the power when the lamp is removed), or replace the lamp. Are there any flashing lights or error messages at all, does the projector seem hotter than usual, is the fan running as normal? could you actually see any error messages on the projected image if they were there? try really hard to read them if you think there could be something there. Try a different input source, unlikely problem but possible. Especially in smoky environments the lens can get quite a thick layer of grime on the outside - easily cleaned off gently with some vinegar and soft paper towel/soft cloth. This made enough difference on a similar one in a bar near me to give them 3 months more with the same bulb. Worth a try. If you need to source a bulb you need Sony LMP-E180 there appear to be no cheaper substitutes, you can get one direct from sony uk on this link; These lamps are often cheaper from the US even with postage, if you can find a dealer who will send you one, check this link for some ideas; I got a lamp for a similar sony projector sent to spain a few months ago, saving about $280!!! - I'll keep trying to find the details of the company I used, no luck at the minute. Hope this helps, post back if you have any more info :)

Wd-73c10 blinking red and yellow

How many times this standby/power light blinks at one time switch ON? Count it carefully. These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. This will make repair easy.
If you wish to get some details, check this link. Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Timeslide / Flipcard, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name / model number / IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

Help. I can't adjust the brightness on toshiba satellite C870. It's new to me and hard to use in different rooms. fn/f2/fn/f3 does not work.

First are you using battery power, does it brighten when plugged in ? Go to the Taskbar Notifications Area look for the battery/power Icon right click choose Power Options click openPower Options, you will fid your Power Options located here, Your laptop probaly is defaulted to Power Savings, I use High Preformance, change them to your preferences, REMEMBER, There is a reason the laptop dims on battery, to save energy and extend battery between charges.

Good day!!!!

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

No Image after scanning using canon 8000f Windows XP. Can a nearly full hard disk cause this?

I have many years experience repairing Canon scanners so here is my suggestion to you.

Yes a full hard drive can stop the image from being saved to the hard drive but the scanner should still scan the image but not be able to save it to your drive. When you say nearly full hard drive you need some room to save images so if you can try and make some room for these images. Try scanning in preview first that should show you your image without saving it.

I hope this helps you out.

The projector is not giving a bright picture. The image on the wall is very dim

I you were using the projector in the same room with the same ambient light and if you notice this problem try increasing brightness, if still the brightness is not sufficient then it is time to replace the projector lamp.

If you have moved your projector to a different place, check if the existing light / ambient light in that room is making the image look dull / not so bright. If this is the case, try to reduce the ambient light
