You don't. Opening the case voids the warranty. You can use a continuity meter to test to see if the power cord is ok; otherwise, take it in for repair.

Why won't it power on?

Check your plug that its not in backwards and secure in wall first. Check for frays in your cords . Check to see switch is in on position,
Check power foot to see that it hasn't came undone. Power foots do go bad now and again but not often . If it did check the warrantee the company may have to pay to get it fixed.

Control panel not responding

First check to make sure your outlet on the wall has power to it. :-) Then check to make sure cord is plugged in well at both ends. (at wall and at machine.) If you have a friend with same machine, switch cords and see if your cord is bad. Check with where you bought it, they may have a cord you can 'borrow' and try.

My Bernina E65 will not turn on. No power to the machine.

1. check the outlet
2. make sure the power cord is plugged into the machine snuggly and correctly
it also possible that the power cord went bad and that the machine needs to be checked to see if there is something wrong with the power cord or the plug in the sewing machine. or if there is something wrong with the on off switch..

has the outlet been checked if it's working?
is the power cord plugged in securley into the machine?

have you checked to see if the sewing machine has a battery compartment

Machine shut off will not turn back on viking designer 1

Did you check the power cord both at the sewing machine and at the wall plug? Push them both in firmly. Check the power cord along its whole length to make sure it is not broken. Replace it if you find any serious rips in the plastic outer casing of the cord. No need for a special Husqvarna power cord - a small appliance cord with the same plugs at either end is all that is needed.

Did you hear a "popping" noise when the machine turned off? You may have a short in the transformer in which case it needs to go to the technician.

My machine was working perfectly. Went to eat, and now it won't turn on at all. There is no light, and it seems to not have any power.

If the power cord is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, plug the sewing machine power cord directly into the wall outlet until this is resolved.

Check all power cord connections and push them in tightly.

If this works, then the power strip's breaker may have been tripped.

Please let us know if it works now.
