The sound is not good for listening musik, what to do?

Laptop speakers are in general not that good for listening to music.
You can try and configure the sound by clicking the volume icon down right-corner and then your laptop speakers. A window with options such as "bass boosting" and other useful stuff will pop up.

Or go the easy way and buy a pair of headphones.

How to make the sound of the iPod Better

Take your music with you on your iPod, portable media player from Apple. Depending on iPod model can hold between 500 to 40,000 songs. No matter how small or large your music collection, not content with mediocre sound quality while enjoying your music. Using a combination of hardware and software settings of the iPod add-ons to your iPod pump up the jam like never before.

1. Change the iPod music equalizer. These changes and increases the sound from the iPod to better match a specific style or genre of music. Press "Menu" on the front of Click Wheel iPod. Go to "Settings" and press the middle mouse wheel. Scroll down and select "EQ". Select the type of music you listen to (e.g. "Rock") and press the middle button of the Click Wheel.

2. Sound set control function for all your iPod music playing in the same volume as surprising increase or decrease in volume between songs. Click "Settings" from the main iPod menu and choose "Sound Check" to turn it off.

3. Use headphones instead of earphones that came with your iPod. While the earbuds feature enough for everyday use, audiophiles cannot enjoy the limited range of buttons compared with headphones bigger and more powerful. Additional benefits in some models of headphones, such as blocking noise canceling ambient noise, also can help improve your iPod listening experience.

4. Connect the iPod to a stereo amplifier or iPod compatible. This adds low-range and headsets that many cannot create and is ideal for cases where you connect your iPod to share with a group sounds like a party.
I just bought a 42 inch, 3d, led, lcd tv and the sound is poor. It sounds metallic and when I listen to music, it is pretty bad. Not close to my old Samsung lcd's sound? Any advice?

Go into your MENU and then find the AUDIO settings. Scroll down to sound mode and then adjust to Cinema mode or other various settings and notice the sound differences.

What is the 20/40 degree listening position narrow or wide?

You can compare this the 45 and 60 degree listening positions for surround sound but it means just what you said, 20 degrees for a narrow field and 40 for a wider field. Just remember to listen to what your ears are thinking and not others are telling you as your ears cannot be wrong to you.

45 Degrees:
The speakers are half the distance apart from each other as they are from the listening position; i.e-10 ft apart but 20 ft away.

60 Degrees:
The speakers are the same distance apart from each other as they are from the listening position; 10 ft apart but 10 ft away.

In surround sound, the higher the budget film, the higher field degree is optimum but never more than 60 degrees where you can easily go down to about 25 degrees.

For music most people like a narrower field unless you like groups like Pink Floyd where sometimes they will sound better in a wider field.

I want to put my own music onto 18 wheels of steel haulin is this possable

If you just want to listen to your own music while you play the game go to the menu of your game then go to options/ sound options what ever. Then try and turn the music volume down, or off.

Then run , Windows Media Player/ Jukebox/ Quicktime/ what ever your program is and play whatever music you want.

If you want to add your music to the game, I am not shure but I think it may be illegal.

Hope this helps

Sound card won't work with external input

Are you trying to record and listen at the same time? It doesn't usually work that way, the computer has to process and encode the audio signals before they can be listened to. Once you restore the computer, are you able to listen to the recording? If you have onboard sound, rather than a separate sound card, all the audio processing is done by your CPU. If you are trying to listen to the audio as it is being recorded, you are probably overloading the capabilities of the device and its shutting itself down. Try to record without listening. Also make sure you have the latest drivers. If it is onboard audio, check the manufacturer's website for updates. If you know that it is Realtek AC 97 (probably says so your manual), you can download new drivers from the Realtek website.

The sound has forsaken you because you use it unsubtly. Take all-caps off and say whether you had sound before, whether installing the audio drivers worked, whether your speakers work when connected to a stereo output, whether your mixer on the computer is configured to do Optical-Out only; go listen to some piano auditions at various levels of ability, down at music academies and universities; play some Van Gelis through some homemade distortion filters; run some mashup software on MIDI files and crank that through midi boxes until you can get something listenable. Break it down.
