When installing Norton Ghost 15.0 onto a XP machine I get the following error message. "Error 1606. Could not access network location 0\."

This is a fairly common problem in Windows XP, especially with SP2. The most common method that fixes it is to delete some registry keys.

Click on Start-Run, type regedit (without the quotes) Navigate to this registry path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER --> Software --> Microsoft --> Windows --> Current Version --> Explorer --> User Shell Folders
Clear the key: Recent (right mouse click on the key/folder, choose Delete) Close the Registry Editor and restart the computer.

Quit Registry Editor.
Restart the computer.

Match the Default Security Provider to New Drive Letter
Run Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
Navigate to the following registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Defaults\Provider
You will see a few Provider key beneath the branch. In each Provider key, edit the Image Path value to match the new drive letter.
Exit Registry Editor.
Restart computer.

Reset the Drive Letter of the System Drive
