Singer 4423 feed dogs are not working properly. Tested and verified that this happens without any thread in the machine. The dogs are not lowered. We've cleaned it and still no luck.

Now, I'm assuming that you pushed the feed dog lever in the back to the left successfully. If you couldn't make it move, try pushing the lever down and then to the left. You don't see any difference when that happens, because the feed dogs are actually ALWAYS down -- during ordinary sewing, they rise up to grab and push the fabric, then go down again. Turn the hand wheel (ALWAYS towards you) while looking at the feed dogs and see if they rise up during the cycle. I'll bet you DID lower them, but didn't realize it. What is actually does when you lower them is disengage the mechanism that makes them go up and down.

One more thing -- to set them in the up position again, you have to set the lever, then turn the hand wheel several times -- sometimes as much as five cycles -- and then you'll hear a click. That is true of ALL sewing/embroidery machines.

Does self rising flour need time to rise/

self rising flour uses baking powder as a leveling agent, so it rises as it is being heated in the cooking process, not like a yeast dough.
the following is taken from another site, I could not have said it any better.

Self-rising flour has an almost magical sound to it. And if you look at recipes that call for it, you'll see that they do not call for the addition of salt or leavening agents, though biscuits, cakes and breads made with seem to rise up just fine. The reason for this is that self-rising flour is actually nothing of the sort. It is flour that has a leavening agent - baking powder - and salt added to it during packaging. Since the ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the flour, you will get the same nice lift to your baked goods every time you use it. If you don't have self-rising flour and you have a recipe that calls for it, you can make your own by combining 1 cup all purpose flour with 1 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt. Similarly, if you only have self-rising flour, you can reduce the baking powder and salt called for in a recipe that uses standard all purpose flour.
Now that being said, it is also worth noting that there are several brands of self-rising flour that have a lower protein content than all purpose flour (11% protein). They are effectively cake flours (8% protein). Wheat protein, or gluten, is what gives baked goods much of their structure, but it can also cause a bread to be too dense or tough. White Lily and Presto are two examples of self-rising brands that use a low-protein cake flour as their base, and if a recipe calls for one of them, you should use cake flour in place of all purpose in the conversion given above.

I have an arrow code f 26 on my duet washer

Drain pump triac failure This error code is displayed when the main electronic controller fails to detect the triac that controls the outlet drain pump during the wash cycle.
  • Check pressure switch contacts and connectors
  • Failure of the pressure switch or level sensor can also give rise to this fault code
  • Run test program
  • If failure persists after test and verification of pressure switch, replace main controller

My bread maker kneads twice just fine, and it bakes just fine, but the bread doesn't rise very high. All of my ingredients are fresh. I have tried several different recipes and it still doesn't rise in...

That is a difficult problem. One thing you might try to get a better rise in your machine is to cut the salt in your recipe by one half. It's healthier that way too. Please let me know the result.

With the key in the console, press one of the incline buttons. While the incline is changing, remove the key. After a few seconds, re-insert the key. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level. This will recalibrate the incline system.

Volume control rises in volume on its own. When I lower volume, it will rise again in just a few minutes to maximum level.

This is often caused by a defective tact switch on the front panel. With the system turned off, try puching all of the switches on the front( except power on). You should feel the switch engage. If not, then the switch is likely to be faulty and require replacement. Parts cost should be in the $5 range.

Clean lite keeps flashing will not start whenstart

The thermistor beneath the accumulator inside the sump detects the water temperature as it begins the first 8 minutes of the main wash cycle. During this time, the controller expects the thermistor to detect the 2-4 degrees rise in the water temperature when the first 8 minutes is completed. If the expected temperature rise is not met, the controller will not be satisfied. It will shut the dishwasher down and blink the clean light 7 times. Press the heated dry then normal wash buttons in the same sequence two times. The unit will enter diagnostics mode, but can be stopped by pressing the cancel button. It will clear the fault and makes the dishwasher normal but will appear again if you have problem in either of the following:
  1. Heater and its circuitry
  2. Water filling
  3. Pumping motor
If the heater is not working, the water temperature will not rise then controller will shutdown the machine.
If there's no water entering the machine, no water will be heated and there's no way the controller through the thermistor can detect any rise in temperature.
If the pumping motor is not working, the water cannot circulate over the heater and be heated. Again, the controller will not be satisfied.

You can bypass this fault detection feature by filling the machine with either extremely cold or extremely hot water. Water colder than 62 or hotter than 160 degrees Fahrenheit will make the controller not to check for a temperature rise but rather continue on the next cycle.
Please let me know if the problem still bother you.

I would make sure the Termostat u instaled is correct. Also have the Coolant system flushed and replaced. The gauge may not be reading properly which could be the sending unit. You have already replaced the main components that fail. Hope this helps and have a great day.
