Is it ok to leave the lenovo edge 15 in it's touch screen mode for long periods of time? Like when the keyboard is facing down, it's practically flipping the whole computer upside down.

It is ok to leave the edge 15 facing down for extended periods of time. The components in the laptop are cooled by the fan when needed whether facing up or down. The operation of the laptop will not be affected in the inverted position either.

Why does my Dell 1510X Projector not shut off when I push the off button ?

This projector as with most high power projectors will have a cool down period for the lamp once the power button is pushed from on to off. For this model, the cool down period is 120 seconds after which the unit will fully power down. You can override this cool down period by pushing and holding the power button for 1 seconds. If you use this procedure though, you should not power up the projector again for at least 60 seconds to allow the internal temperatures to stabilize.

How do i fix my hp which goes on standby and never returns

This may be memory is not enough to handle the standby speed in which to open system back up to normal. Increase you memory to handle a faster response or I would close all programs before sending it to standby or sleep mode. At least anything that is large CPU usage.
This is a laptop computer and I suggest just turning it off when done with it. Because they heat up fast. It is just good policy to shut them down completely. I never leave my laptop on when not tending to it period. Of course you can do what you wish I'm not suggesting you do what I do however laptops are extremely sensitive and requiring cooling down periods. So take it off of standby and just shut it down period to allow the cooling process and to save on wear and tear. Just a suggestion! John

Gateway DX4822-01 desktop computer crashes but powers back up after a cool down period. I thought it was a mother board issue and replace the mother board but the same thing is occuring with the new

It is most likely the cpu fan, check to see if you have enough thermal paste on cpu, if not apply a little more and see if that resolve the issue.

Fan will not turn off after lamp cools down. fan will run for days.

is this after auto shut down ? check menu setting if this is set to READY, then it will wait until signal appears again at the input. You can set this better to "shut down", PJ will go to standby after cooling period and fans will stop.

How long does oven clean lock light stay on after cleaning is completed

Generally, on all self cleaning ovens, they heat the ovens to 500 degrees or better, which basically just "cooks" off any spillage and residue to a powder that can be wiped out after the cycle ends. Due to the extreme heat generated during the cleaining cycle, most will "lock" the door until the thermostat cools to the point that it signals the board to unlock. If yours is a wall oven, it may be well insulated and take a longer time to cool off. If a free standing stove/oven, it also is insulated and has to cool and "sense" by thermostat that it is safe to allow the door to open and operations to begin. This is another "safety override" mandated by the FTC and US Govt. And it's a good one. Otherwise, the exposure to suits by the consumer who did not allow the cooling down period would bankrupt the manufacturers. This is normal, the long cool down period, however if you feel it is taking too long, you could have someone check the location of your thermostat bulb and make sure it is suspended in its mounts clearly, so that it may "sense" the correct tempature. Or you could initate the cleaning cycle at a time when you did not need the oven for a period for cooking chores. I'd say, given the extreme temps used during this process, you should expect at least an hour and a half to over three for the cool down to allow the unlock. Check your owners manual and see if there are instructions there as to the cool down period and the lock. Or google the makers name and model # on the web, and check with their Customer Service or Technical Dept. if you don't have a manual. Hope this helps. Patience is a virtue, it's just hard to keep thinking about draining the swamp when your'e up to your neck in alligators.
