How to replace batteries in powercom kin-2200ap

Simply taking off the outer cover as described in the OEM user manual does not allow battery replacement. More dismantling is required to access the battery compartment sufficiently to remove old batteries or insert new batteries. How is this done?

You also have to unscrew the front tray, but before you do that, note HOW all the wires connect to the 4 battery array, then disconnect the front and rear wires and side out the tray. take off the 3 wires connecting the 2 batter sets, taking now how it's connected, replace the 4 batteries and put the cables back exactly how they go together. slide back in the tray, connect up the wires and reassemble.

Hi! Per our UPS problem is when open 3 or 4 hours, then auto Off the UPS. please let me know what the problem. And i need to change the PCB board or just repair the PCB board? Thanks Regards

If you unplug the unit and it powers your PC for 3 or 4 hours then turns off, it is because the batteries are empty and this is normal. If it is plugged-in with power and shuts itself off after a few hours, then the battery cells may be in need of replacing. You can purcase an inexpensive replacement battery here: http://www.upsforless.com/browseproducts/Powercom-Replacement-Battery-Kit-BNT-500A-BNT-500AP-BNT-600AP-BNT-800AP-KIN-425CSU-KIN-625CS.HTML

Should I replace the inner and outer primary covers on my 2005 softail fxsti; or should it be done by a dealer? The part number for the outer primary cover is OEM #60543-99

This depends on "why" you're replacing the inner and outer covers. If you bike has been in an accident, you may be required to have a dealer replace the parts in order for the insurance company to pay for the damages. If you're replacing simply because you want a different type of cover, do it yourself if you have the ability.

good Luck

My kin-1200 ap doesn't charge the battery properly.

The reason for this is that the UPS, is unable to efficiently charge those BIG batteries, you see they generally only charge at a low rate, anyway, of say 10% - 15% capacity, of the-battery-usually-charged. Now with these BIG 40 Amperes by 2, well, there simply isn't enough "Juice" to charge them up... (Oh it might do in a month or so)... from that UPS's Charging Circuit. You will most likely have to rig up some other higher rate charger for those BIG batteries. OR modify the charging circuit IN the UPS. They need to be charged at about 1 Amp or maybe more. See it is simply Charge over Time... 40 amps at 1 Amp will take 40 hours.. 40A at 2A = 20H & so on. If only 1/2 flat 2A over 10hours.

No output

How old are the batteries? Even if they read proper DC voltage, it does not mean that they will hold up under load. If they are 3+ years old, they probably need replacement.

Make sure you're not overloading the UPS also, another possible culprit.

Powercom BNT 1500AP quit working after power outage

From your description it appears one or more batteries are bad..The circuit breaker on the Power Strip..which more then likely is a 15 Amp..tripped due to over current conditions..check the batteries and reset the circuit breaker..That should take care of it
