Sent the parts to www.Manfrottotripodparts.com/repairs.html

They should be able to reassemble it and replace any broken parts there may be on the tripod

HI, I have a Bogen/Manfrotto 468/3435 Pro Ball head on a 3011bn tripod. How do I get this off of the tripod?

Hi, extend the extension and look under the mounting head. You will see three set screws requiring a slotted type screw driver. Loosen these off so the head is just protruding from the flange. Have the ball head locked in position and unscrew it from the center mounting stud Left to loosen Right to tighten.

I'm trying to attach a Canon EOS Rebel XS to a Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod, but the tripod socket on the camera is too small. How do I attach them?

You need a head. The tripod has a standardized screw for accepting a tripod head, which is a larger screw than for the tripod mount on the camera. There are a variety of heads available, ball heads, three-axis heads, geared heads, pan-and-tilt heads, and more.

Here's a page showing Manfrotto heads:

Which head do i buy with the manfrotto 055xprob

Any head that matches your requirements. Do you want a ball head? A tilt-and-pan head? How much weight will have it to support? The tripod comes without a head because no one except you can decide which is the best head for you.

Tripod head

If the head is loose on the tripod follow these instructions:
There are three small set screw (grub screws) that are under the head, net to the center column. You will have to raise the center column and look under the head. These are slotted screw heads and a small to medium screwdriver should work. You don ot have to remove the grub screws completely, but you should back them out at least half way. The head will unscrew off the center column. The gray part below the head is half the head attachment and half the center column end plate so it should separate in the middle line between the two.

If screws came out elsewhere, we will need to know the model number of the head that came apart.

My 322RC2 Grip Action Ball Quick Release has lost

I had the same problem and found the solution after much looking online. Use rubbing alcohol to clean the ball! This works even with the ball in place as long as you rotate the head around to reach all surfaces of the ball. Note that many suggestions to tighten the Allen screw at the base of grip clamp or to roll the wheel to its tightest position do not work because they affect the amount of effort you need to squeeze the clamp, and not specifically the amount of friction between the ball itself and the head. Over time the ball loses it's grip but rubbing alcohol removes finger oils, dust, airborne pollution, etc. After wiping with rubbing alcohol, my ten year old head is now as tight as the day I bought it! Hope this works for you.
