I cannot see how to get my thread into tension part when threadin 1250 model

What is the machine make? There are lots of 1250 machines..

When you thread the top thread of your machine, ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot. If you follow the thread path, you will most likely not see the thread seat in the tension disk. But if the presser foot is up, it will go where it should.

If you need a manual, search for:

Yellow thread on serger is looping above fabric. How do I tighten the tension so the loop is not so large?

Move the tension on that thread to a higher number. That will tighten it.

P.S.--if you are having tension problems, check to make sure the thread is fully seated in the tension disk. When threading, be sure to always RAISE the presser foot and give each thread an extra little tug when going through the tension disk. Sometimes, you will even hear it pop when it seats.

I just loaded the bobbin and when I sew the bobbin thread is wavy Is it a tension problem or did the bobbine not load properly or do I have the bobbin in wrong?

Do you mean that the thread on the underside of the stitching is wavy? if so, yes it sounds as if the bobbin thread is not under tension.

Take the bobbin out of the bobbin case and reload, make sure that the bobbin is in the right way and then hold the bobbin still and press the thread tail into the tension spring until you hear it click in. Usually the thread will come off the bobbin, through the tension then reverse direction in a "v" shape.
tally_girl_43.jpgI think this is your bobbin case. So bobbin would go in and rotate anticlockwise, and thread would go into the tension spring south, then reverse direction north so rotary hook catches the thread.

Just make sure thread is fully into the tension spring, pull backwards on it and it should stay in the tension device if its in properly. If not, it will come out.

If you can't get a resolution then the tension spring may have failed, you can buy replacment bobbin cases from Brother, a local dealer or

I trust this helps you resolve the issue, often its just threading up and a bit of a break away for five mins, then fresh eyes, rethread carefully, checking the manual directions, and issue will resolve.

The top thread & bottom thread aren't 'hooking up'.

you might check your needle to see if it's damaged
make sure you have a 3 to 4 inch thread tail on top & bobbin thread, & hold top thread tail & use the hand wheel on the right & manually move the needle down to see if it will pick up the bobbin thread that way
also check the bobbin area for lint or loose threads

Have a new Brother 1250 Embroidery / Sewing Machine. I have the tension on 3, my thread breaks often and I have broken 5 needles just this week. I have used different thread, rethreaded carefully but do...

the tension for embriodery should be very light. also, there are needles just for embroidery, which have a bigger eye so the thread goes though easier.

What tension setting should I use for6 layers of polar fleece on my brother PS 1800?

Depending on the thickness of fleece I would go back about 1-2 settings, being that your tension on bottom is already set correctly
