What are signs of hyraulic problems

I have a Cub Cadet 3240 with approx. 500 hours. I use it to clear snow and I am starting to have issues. It is fine at start. After heavy use reverse sometimes reduces to half speed, hydraulic lift for blower is not as responsive at times and now rear diff is starting to slip a bit. Are my hydraulics starting to go out.

SOURCE: John Deere 1020 Weak 3 point hydraulics

I would suggest you find a JD dealer and buy a manual if you want to do the maintenance yourself. You can also do a Google search and find manuals.

I would also suggest you completely drain the old hydraulic fluid and replace it with new fluid and a new filter if it has not been serviced any time in the recent past.

The symptoms you describe can be low fluid and/or a clogged filter. If you or anyone else has run the tractor too long and it has low fluids and/or a clogged filter, you can damage the hydraulic pump and that can get costly.

SOURCE: the electric clutch on my cub cadet lt1045 does not stay running

I had the exact same issue early this mowing season on a LT1045 with 184 hours on it. On a wild hunch I lifted the seat and simply sprayed the PTO shut-off safety switch with electronic contact cleaner/enhancer and have had to problems since.

My Cub Cadet just got serviced for another 500 bucks and is doing the same thing as last year. Ran it all day then it starts to sputter and stalls. Model GT 1554 HELP!

Make sure the fuel filler cap breather hole is clear if its blocked it will create a vacuum in the tank which prevents the fuel flowing forward.

Cub Cadet LT1050-Replaced the solenoid, had starter checked out-it's good, battery has full charge, but mower won't start. Help!!

You need to check that there is a 12volt supply from the low tention wire at the solinoid when the key is turned, if there is not either the switch is bad, or the wire from the switch is bad, or the fuse has blown.
