Was watching a movie one night and all the sudden the tv went blank. Now whenever you plug it in it makes like a chirping sound and it will continue to chirp for about 5 to 10 sec after you unplug the tv. But there is never anyother sound and no picture.

I have an RCA 36"

Hi, in most of these RCA TV, we found a common problem with that strange sound.
You need electronics skills to solve this problem. The sound coming from the TV ( back cover), caused by a faulty transformer T14401 location number, part number 241319, also a transistor horizontal output is shorted need be replaced. location Q14401 part number, part number 237470. This is a difficult and you may have to find a tv shop and ask for a previous estimate of money. I hope all this clear in my explanation and if you have further questions, I'll be here to help.
