Motherboard starts but no signal in the monitor

Hello here is the cpu list:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/P4i45G/?cat=CPU

Other cpu`s than them on the list, does not fit the mainboard.
This will cause the mainboard not to boot up, when the cpu is wrong.
The (wrong) cpu will fit the socket, but it does not fit the cache size, fsb, and so on.

Look also in the manual:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/P4i45G/?cat=Manual

The problem could also be the power supply failing, try to change that.

Did it boot up before you changed the cpu ???
Any beep codes ??

Look also at this page:

Good luck

One long 8 short no boot

This is telling you that your video card has a problem. If it's an "add on" card, remove it and re-seat it. Otherwise, go get yourself another video card.

3 beeps when i boot my pc with ram but no beeps when i boot without ram

Here is the info I found on the Asrock website. This would be a normal code if you have no RAM in the system.

Beep Code Descriptions 1 short Memory refresh timer error. 2 short Parity error. 3 short Main memory read / write test error. 4 short System timer failure. 5 short Process error. 6 short Keyboard controller BAT test error. 7 short General exception error. 8 short Display memory error. 9 short ROM BIOS checksum error. 10 short CMOS shutdown Read/Write error. 11 short Cache Memory bad.

Make sure motherboard circuit could not ground with cabinet.

No boot and beeps

The exact fault code indicates RAM or a problem accessing the RAM.
Check that you are using recommended/Approved RAM as ASUS and ASROCK (the budget arm of ASUS) are notoriously fussy with RAM.
If it all checks out then your northbridge could be dead and it will probably be scrap.

No beep,No Display on my monitor, only CPU heatsink fan is moving

have you thought about changing the battery on the motherboard, also checking that the fan on the cpu is seated properly with enough heatsink paste as both these issues will stop the pc from booting

No beeps on boot up with asrock mobo? help plz

While booting BOIS goes for POST check for detecting the all the hardware .

Disconnect all the connection to DVD, HDD, FDD from MOBO.
Rmove all RAM and start the ssytem from testing RAM Serviceability. If you listened a long intermittent beep place a single pices of RAM in MOBO ( repeat test with other RAM also).

Other wise your video card is unserviceable, if you have any addon plugins like NVIDA graphics card you can check

Error signal ASRock P4VM800

When you open to you're bios menu, either at the top or at the bottom of the screen will be a name of you'e bios. In you're case the name is at the bottom of your bios menu. (American Megatrends Inc.). Or for short AMI You could search google for, AMI bios beep codes.
And you can click on this link, which shows what AMI say's about 3 beeps.
http://www.bioscentral.com/beepcodes/amibeep.htm

You need to test you're memory. (Only if cleaning the memory has did not change the beep error beeps).
First remove you're memory & blow out the DIMM slots with canned air. Clean the copper on the memory with house hold alcohol on a lightly dampend cotton swab. (Let it dry), (Do not touch the copper with you're fingers. Re-install you're memory.
If you have more than one DIMM. Remove the bank farthest from the CPU & boot the PC. Did you hear the 3 beeps? Remove the the next bank & re-install the one you removed first in to the slot closest to the CPU. Boot the PC, again did you hear the 3 beeps?

If I can be of more service, just post back & let me know how thing go.

Good Luck!

Mike
