Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: Wireless switch

Make sure you have the latest drivers, router and NB.

Does it connect on reboot with the SSID off?

Does it work on repair?

if so, check your energy settings, some times they power down the wireless to save energy. There are also settings on how it behaves.

SOURCE: no sound

go into the control panel - go into sound & audio devices - go to the audio tab - you should see default sound device with a pull down menu - pull it down and see if you have any other devices for audio playback - but first you need to enable your bluetooth speakers or you will never hear anything if you can change devices - same goes for the default recording device and default midi device - hope this helps you out.

Have bought a Braven wireless speaker (bluetooth) for my QT 5500. It sounds great when plugged into laptop but can't seem to get bluetooth to work. Will I have to buy a dongle

All depends, Does your QT 5500 have bluetooth Adapter? Bluetooth Software? I looked at the specs, I don't see Bluetooth listed, but doesn't mean you don't have it. In Device Manager, is Bluetooth Listed?

How do i turn on the wireless

Hi,

Good day, you can switch on your wireless by hitting the wireless switch located in front of your laptop. The switch is located prior to the right speaker, after the bluetooth switch. You can fold your laptop to avoid confusion and then lift it up like a sandwich facing you, with taht you'll be able to see the button/switches I am referring to. Hope this help you a bit. Have a great day. By the way it will give you a pop up message saying that you have enable or turn on the wireless.

My wireless adaptor isn't working. I have an Acer travel mate5720 which has a switch on the front for blue tooth & wireless access. Bluetooth works ok but the Wireless adaptor won't i have checked in...

This model does have wireless. I had a similar problem a little while ago, I plugged the unit in to a wired connection, and on it's own, disabled the wireless adapter.
Go to start--> control panel--system-->hardware-->device manager

look under the "network adapters", there should be a wireless adapter or 802g something something, right click on this item and click "enable".

You should then be able to browse for wireless networks now.

The bluetooth turns on using FN + F11 it should turn the wireless too but doesn't MSI U100

As per the manual the FN and F11 keys turn on both Bluetooth and Wireless so you need to try it will turn bluetooth and then it will turn on wireless, you can check them by LEDS

Press and hold the Fn button, and then press the F11 button
repeatedly to enable or disable the Wireless LAN or Bluetooth function
recurrently.

Wireless LAN and Bluetooth:
Wireless LAN LED indicator glows green when Wireless LAN function is
enabled.
Bluetooth LED indicator glows blue when Bluetooth function is enabled.
Both LED indicators glow green and blue at the same time when both
functions are enabled.
Both LED indicators go out when both functions are disabled.
Note: For flight safety consideration, make sure these two LED indicators
go out when you are in flight.

Let me know if you are able to turn the wireless on

Also i will suggest you check in device manager that you wireless adapter is enabled

I have problem with my vostro 1510 wreless, by switching the wireless and bluetooth key on, only the blutooth devise is turn on.

The Dell QuickSet utility Wireless options can cause these issues.

There is a setting to always deactivate on battery. Make sure this is not set up. The correct setting would be Always active on battery or Always On, or no power saving options for Wi-Fi. Depending on the version of QuickSet which you have.

It is known to glitch when power is removed from the machine while the wireless is in use.

Please let us know if you have any futher questions. If this information was helpful, please take a moment to rate the solution. Thank you.
