Oven door won't open and oven buttons don't work

It might be possibly locked because it is in self-cleaning mode.

Temperature when using frigidare oven, keeps getting hotter and does not cool down

Good Afternoon Andrea,

I see that you're having issues with your Frigidaire oven, and the heating element being red hot the entire time you were cooking no matter how much you turned the temperature down.

I suggest giving your appliance a hard reset. You will do this by either unplugging it or cutting the power off at the circuit breaker for at least 2-3 minutes. When power is restored to your oven, you will need to set the clock by entering in the time and pressing start. Preheat the oven, to whatever desired temperature, and if it is still running hotter than it should be, I suggest you contact your local authorized technician. I hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Troubleshooting frigidaire oven

Too hot of a temperature - Check RTD sensor probe and replace if necessary. If oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced should damage be extensive

The oven is not getting to temperature

Check the breakers/fuses that supply the power to the oven. It sounds like it is not getting enough power.
Good luck!

Have an oven i need to replace I blieeve it is 4 wires at the back of the oven with no external venting. The opening is large enough for a 27 or 30 inch oven. Is it as simple as pullout the old one...

if its electric its hard wired to your home power 220v black(hot 120v) white(neutral) red(hot 120v) green (ground) You should wire the new oven the same way as the old oven (Shut off power before any thing)Make all wire conections clean and tight with a wire nut. wrap each with ele tape.

I have a Kenmore 9114012190 oven it does not heat properly anymore the top and lower elements get hot but it will hardly get anything warm that is placed in it ie; bread has to stay in it for 45 mins to...

start by checking your input power for a full 240volts,then check the terminal block for any burned off power input wires, then check power connections all the way thru the oven control and finally check for "hot-spots" in both elements(highly unlikely that both would be bad) its a discolored area that is a high resistance area not passing full operating power thru element(s)

THE OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

How old is the unit? Sometimes the igniter can glow but if it isn't drawing the right amount of power to open the gas valve then that is the safety that is built into the oven... So unless the power requirement is meant gas valve will not light. Even though the hot surface igniter is glowing red hot. chances are the igniter is bad. Let me know what turns up. ken
