Computer does not keep correct time

Consider changing your powersave/screen saver to a microsoft one (flying windows, stars etc.) That can cause time drift. Also, check the CMOS battery (cr2032) which is on the motherboard. Lastly, right click on the click; and ensure you hit the button to have it "update and sync" with a time server (if applicable) Or, download a program called "about time" and that will keep your click in great shape. Please leave positive feedback for the help.

I have a Gateway laptop model no. M622-UCX which continues to prompt for the system date configuration in cmos setup during start. It also cannot remember the date and time I entered several times and...

When a laptop/computer prompts for a BIOS date and Time setting every time you boot up, this indicates the BIOS battey is flat or nearly flat. This BIOS battery needs to be replaced and the BIOS Date and Time setting needs to be configured etc.

My office has the Prostar 816 phone and the manual is not detailed at all.. I needed to know how to change the time (due to time change) Our manual says #55 etc etc... Help me please!

To change the time on a prostar 816 you first need to be at a display set (doesn't matter what the extension number is).
with the handset down, enter #20 the screen should say MMC DISABLED
1) enter in 1 2 3 4 1 # (that enables programming2.gif)
2) enter in #55 the screen should say YYMMDDWHHMM
3) enter in the year, month, day, day of the week, hours and minutes(the day of the week values are 1= mon. 2= tues. etc.)
press # when finished.

Time & Date

1. To open the USER SETTINGS MENU. Open all three of the One-touch speed dialing panels. Then press the button labeled "Data Registration".
2. Press the "SET" button 2 times until you see:
USER SETTINGS - 1. DATE & TIME.
3. To open the DATE & TIME Menu. Press SET.
Use the buttons on the numeric keypad to enter the current month, day, year and current time. Just enter the new numbers over the old numbers.
To set the year, enter 08, 09, etc.
Use the 24-hours format to enter the time (e.g. 1:00 p.m. would be entered as 13:00)
You can also use the cursor buttons to move the cursor without changing a number entry.
To restore previous entry, press CLEAR.
Press SET to "lock in" the Date and Time.

Losing Time and Date

Most pcb boards ( mother boards) for any type of machines; copiers, printers etc... have a battery on the board to keep the memory when not in use or unplugged. this is only to keep certain functions in memory, ie: memory, time, date, settings etc.
That's what I would suggest changing, you would have to take it apart to get to the board.
