SOURCE: What is the best way

The PLMRA400 is ready for either 4- or 8-ohm speakers, in pair. This means that the distortion that you hear is not due to the connection. I suggest to take a closer look at these points:

  • If you inter-change the speakers, the distorted sound stays at the same speaker or at the same channel?
  • Use only the speaker (or channel) with the disrtorted sound. Is the distortion still existing? If no, the problem is not at the amp - speaker, it's at the power supply (battery?). At high volumes the amplifier needs more power (current) from the battery.
  • What is the source that you drive the amp with? Do you use the high level inputs or the RCA connectors?
The case of having problem just one of the amplifier's channel is very rare, that's why I suggest to make sure that no other problem is existing.

In case of a problem or clarification or further details needed, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.
If you are satisfied, accept my solution.

Thanks and regards

SOURCE: I am thinking about purchasing

Any search engine will lead you to details about the speakers.

They're passive mini cube speakers. Unless your unidentified CD player has amplifiers and connections for speakers you are missing the crucial middle piece. What were you going to do about bass?

How to install, since it doesn't come with instructions.

Unless your speakers / boxes are specific for your car, there will not be any installation instructions beyond generalized that may include a wiring diagram, a chart to show how much volume your speaker box needs (minimum and optimum), power handling, etc.

Search for your model / part numbers at Pyle Car Audio and see what information is available there.

I want to install a speaker system to the handlebars. Can/should the wiring be routed under the gas tank? If so how is the tank removed?

Just a suggestion,no offense.I'd check out how much of the frame top rail that the tanks mount to.you have access to.Drill a hole in the front that will allow you to access the handle bars with speaker wire.Drill another hole in the end, under the seat front. You'd only have to remove seat.Fish the wire thru the frame rail and connect each end to where you want.Places that install sound systems can give you stiff wire to fish with.Check out this possibility before you remove tanks. On the plus side less exposed wires on frame.

I am trying to install Z Bar handle Bars on my Harley Davidson. I need install instructions on how to thread the wires.

I assume you are talking about running the wiring internal of the new handlebars and you need to know how to pull the wires through the them. You need to get a "fish tape" through the bars. The easiest way to get the fish tape into the bars is to start off by getting a string through them.

Use a shop vacuum and connect it to one end of the bars. Plug the other end of the bars temporarily. Turn on the vacuum cleaner and feed a string in from the hole in the center of the bars. If the bars are not too rough on the inside, the string will be sucked out the end of the bars.

Once you get the string through the bars, form a loop on the end of a scrap piece of wire and use the string to pull it through the bars. Now, use the wire to pull the switch wiring through the handlebar.

You may want to put some type of "sleeving" over the switch wiring so that you don't skin the insulation off the wires as you pull them through the handlebars.

Good Luck!!

Can I install 4" kickback riser under the handlebar

Just make sure the cables are not binding or too short.
Replacing the risers are pretty straight forward.
Remove the four hold down bolts then remove the stock risers. Towel will help here to prevent handle bars from scratching the tank. Helps to have the front wheel straight before starting this process. Install the new risers using the hardware supplied. Be sure to check clutch and throttle for binding BEFORE riding.
If they bind and prevent easy operation you may have to purchase extension cables. Be sure to torque the 4 bolts that hold down the handle bars properly. After a few trips check and tighten again to the proper torque settings. Installed the Baron kick back risers on my 1100 and it took a few trips to get use too.
After that wouldn't take anything for them! Sitting higher and not all slumped over. Nice looking too!

Good luck!
Hope this Helps!
