Question about Televison & Video
Good Afternoon My tv switched it's self off and when I put it back on there's a white information line across the top which keeps running through all the scart connection devices available and all the free-view channels available. I can't set it to any device i.e, HMDI or manage to set it to any channel. I have had it switched off and unplugged for a week and have just connected it up again, but the problem is still there. Thank you Heidi

These beasts are monsters to get into and service without the proper extenstion cables and a service manual. there are no user replaceable parts inside this set. if you know solid state serviceing, you can try and fix it. There is a bad capacitor or capacitors in the vertical sweep circuit and or the vertical output IC is bad also. If you can solder and unsolder go for it. But if you do not or know how the circuit Works Please find a trained tech to assist you with this repair. Good Luck. PS please do not forget to rate this.

Have you set the settings in the dashboard to HDTV as well as changing the switch on the RGB cable? (The switch is on the end of the cord that plugs into the xbox).

take out the batteries of all the remotes that are able to change the channel and put a piece of duct tape over the infared reciever and if it still does it, it is most likely defective.
