I have blank lines through my printouts

When I print a document there are horizontal lines thru the printout, at first I thought there was a space being added but it seems that information is missing    lines of text are showing only the top or bottom half ot the line the rest being blank I have changed the ink cartriges but the problem remains. I have also run the head cleaning ang head reconditioning routines with no change

I have tried all of the cleaning steps, I have also removed the print head and soaked the jets in alcohol with no change; with one exception.

I printed an index sheet using Canons Zoom browser which came out perfectly but the next print job (4x6 photo print) returned to the previous problem. I then tried reloading printer drivers but the problem remains
this appears to be missing data more than clogged jets, note the even spacing of the lines and lack of distortion of the photo, text shows up in the same way

When printing a copy of an A4 page of text the last 3 or 4 lines at the bottom of the page do not appear on the printout

Run the cleaning cycle. If that doesn't work, try to use an alcohol soaked swab on the print head. Some of the jets are clogged.

1. Use isopropanol alcohol to swab the print head 2. Clean the rest of the printer of dust and debris by vacuuming or wiping 3. Print a test page 4. If the test page still has lines missing repeat steps 1 - 3

Printer keeps skipping lines when printing. very annoying

is this a case of the dots are missing for a valid line, or do you mean a line feed is added at the end of a line, ie you get 3 lines of text occupying 4 lines of space , or 4 lines of text occupies 4 lines of space, but one line has no printed dots on it? to make it more obvious, what does a document with say text thats 3cm tall look like? as it sounds to me like contacts need cleaning.. *** note for info: do not rely on printouts from within a BROWSER as that may have unpredictable results. All text will be treated as a large block of PIXELS and Not TEXT. also Non Printer fonts could cause similar issues.

When i am giving a single page printout it will printout another copy of blankpage

Please open the document, There is probably a second page added to your word document.

Open the file, go to page 2, press backspace.

When you select print option, now check how many pages its showing for printout.

If its showing one page then your file is perfect now.

Red and blue lines across printouts

open printing preferences and click on maintenance. Run the print head alignment utility. Sometimes this will remove the horizontal banding. I had this same problem and had to uninstall the printer and reinstall just like it was new, running the alignment feature before it was corrected. Worked ok for a few days then started again. I assumed that the printhead is bad. To costly to repair and bought a new printer.

it could be that the lines on the spreadsheet arent bolded correctly or the spacing at the end of the document needs to be shortened. try to delete one space so that that line is brought up a line.

Black lines interferring with printouts

Not really sure what you mean by lines on your documents, but you could have excessive ink spilled on your printer rollers.or the page bar,,this can usually be remedies by taking the printer apart and carefully cleaning all of the surfaces the paper run against.

Magenta horizontal banding on all color printout

I suggest that if your machine is under warranty you call out HP, as I have heard that they don't support these machines with parts therefore you will get a new machine.

Copies print with horizontal lines

thin lines? spaced about 1.5 inches apart could be toner left on the drum, take the cartridge out turn it over and retract the shutter, manually turn the drum using your thumbs on the edges of the drum, do you see thin lines on the drum? sometimes something sticky gets on the drum attracting toner and then it transfers to the paper during the copy process

I need to know if this is a sudden occurence or has it happened before. Is cartridge new or refilled or older, and did it print right until now. Also need to know if you have made any recent system changes and if you run anti virus and spyware.
