Helpline my computer is Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 (11C74) however, my problem is when i open garageband or sound forge pro softwares on i mac i can not use microphone input by using my USB audio I think the solution is about format on my USB audio... it was 24000.0 Hz 1ch 16 bit ..! and those softwares do not record by microphone input they says " Sample rate not supported. the USB AUDIO device does not support a sample rate of 44,100 Hz. Check your device's settings and capabilities. [Error code: = 8004e019] " please help how i change this format for 441000.0 Hz. With the knowledge that i had been checked on "audio MIDI setup" and there was no another format it has 24000.0 only i can not change it .

You should use a firewire because the usb devices aren't providing adequate power to usb devices. It's an issue with mac. So using a firewire will use the firewire bus and not the usb bus. A firewire solution is thishttp://www.apogeedigital.com/products/on... but you can find something similar to your needs and cost.

The guide fro properly connecting your microphone is here
GarageBand 11 Connect microphone

The problem is with OSX and its usb bus and not your settings or your usb device.

The solution to your problem is to use a firewire soundcard. That way it will use the firewire bus and all should be fine.

SOURCE: Apple mac mini/Mistar Midilink

When I first used it I had the same problem. But if you make sure the midilink OUT is connected to your keyboard IN and the IN to the OUT it might well work - mine did! It worked a treat in garageband. I am having problems now when the mac tells me that the usb device i.e. the link is taking too much power and is disconnecting it! oh well...

SOURCE: My macs built-in microphone won't work

I usually find using a free application called soundsource available at http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/11334/soundsource gives you all the available options for input and output options. Once downloaded instal it into your applications folder and open it up, it will appear in your menu bar as a headphone icon. Click on the icon and you will see what options you have. Hope this helps.

Mac pro wont start nothing happens power light stays on

this can happen if your hard drive is gone. Start will reinstallation of mac os from your CD etc. first. if that solves the problem Good!, otherwise change hard drive and reinstall mac os. Third reason why your Mac pro will do this is because of messed up mother board which can only be fixed by your local computer store etc.

When it arrives next year, Mac OS X 10.7 will bring new several staple features of iOS 4 to Apple's Mac computers, specifically Launchpad, an icon-focused interface that arranges all of your available apps, complete with app folders, just as they would appear on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, on your Mac desktop. Unlike a full iOS interface, however, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion makes the system toggleable, and users will still have access to the dock, desktop, and menus of a full Mac OS.

Furthermore, apps designed for Mac OS X 10.7 will feature full screen modes that occupy your entire desktop or laptop screen, much like an iPad app, and will support trackpad gesture controls that could easily be applied to a touchscreen interface.

Primary among those drivers, as Apple chief executive Steve Jobs announced, was bringing to Lion what Apple had learned from its experience with the successful iPad tablet. What are lions"?"

In relation to your Mac, the "Lion" is the Operating System as part of the OS X (10) series and was the 7th released. This was then called OS X 10.7 Lion, released on July 20th 2011. Later, there was OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion released as the 8th series OS X.

10.7 carried with it the iCloud integration as Apple moved from MobileMe to this new "cloud technology" and the OS was the first to never be sold in Disc form. It was only available from the App Store as an electronic download and for a short time on USB. All OS X versions after 10.6 were all downloadable via the Mac App Store.

So the Lion is just the name of the Operating System on the Mac! It's like a car that's called a Jaguar, but this is in relation to the Software the computer is running!

What are the requirements to download Apple Mountain Lion OSX?

You must have the following computer to download Mountain Lion:

iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
Xserve (Early 2009)

Once that is done, you must be updated to the most recent version of either Snow Leopard or Lion. If you don't have either of these operating systems (which is highly unlikely considering the other computers should have them, but I digress) then you will need to get them before Mountain Lion.

After that, go to the Apple Store and download Mountain Lion!
