Hi Jennifer Miller, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? Try it on another TV at the same location and see if it works. If it does than it's the TV. How far are you from the TV station??

Use an outdoor antenna with an amplifier or you can try to move the existing antenna closer to a window or at least move it to a location with a beterr signal,

JVC HD-56G886 tuner stopped working

My (unfortunate) guess would be the Tuner received a static discharge when you were changing the antennas... this time of the year is bad for static - if you're in a "Winter" climate.

Receivers have a very sensitive FET or MMIC amplifier right inside from the antenna connection to make it better for picking up distant stations.

However, this same "sensitive" amplifier is also prone to being destroyed by even a small static discharge... especially if the tuner had its power turned ON.

Sad to say, it's likely toasted... :-(
(I hope I'm wrong... but you have already tried all other possible solutions)

Durabrand 13' DU1301 TV problem: I can barely see the picture or hear anything because of intermittant snow. Sometimes the picture will roll as if we are back in the 70s. When I turned the tv on its...

Hello
The fault you describes is due to low signal strength. If tuner of the said TV is faulty, this type of snow interference will occur too. Just check for good firm connection to its antenna terminal. If it is Ok, check the continuity of the cable used with antenna. Check the orientation of yagi antenna if used outside. If all are OK, and nothing help you, just replace its tuner with same type and number. Tuner is a small metal box type component can be seen soldered directly to the main printed circuit board inside. Usullay, its one terminal will come out as antenna IN of the TV, to which you connects the external antenna or cable. You must have a concept of soldering and desoldering to replace it, and must have a knoledge in electronics too. OK.

Hi - i purchased an in car TVTATSC Digital Tuner - I assume, from Alpine. The installer has it connected to a - admittedly temporary - antannae that rests on my roof, above my back windshield. PROBLEM - i...

to date, there is NO TV tuner or antenna that will allow reception adequately while vehicle is in motion. Whoever told yu otherwise is ill informed or blowing smoke. Never has been such a beast. It is designed for car viewing while stopped/parked again in the right orientation to the onboard antenna. But higher end dipole aantennas do get more stations and better signals than the self included ones that come with some of thes tuners.

Good luck

A Sat box and accompanying $3k+ disk roof top car antenna is another story with a subscription like Directv. This will give yu Tv in motion.

VIORE PLC7V95 7'' portable TV, cant get channels when scan

I notice that on mine, the positioning of the included tv antenna is very, very, very finicky. I also don't know how to "add" a new channel other than to hook it to the big house antenna and pick "re-scan" (or auto-scan or whatever it's called).

So I think your best bet is to pick a better antenna or know that even the tiniest fiddling with the antenna makes a diff. Sometimes, I even have the antenna horizontal (using the magnet) to get the good reception on a given channel. Seems like a hassle except that what should I expect from a tiny antenna....

Mitsubishi vs-50603 does'nt get regular antenna chanels.

Indoor antennas have very limited capabilities especially in areas with elevation changes and heavy tree cover. Ideally, you should put an outdoor antenna on your roof or the highest elevation you can find with a relatively short distance to the TV. Make sure it has a good UHF section as this is where all digital broadcasts will be sent by the broadcasters as the digital transition occurs. You might try an amplified indoor antenna for better results than what you have now, but its no substitute for an outdoor antenna.

Digital to Analog converter...no signal

One of the problems with digital reception is if the signal is not strong enough for the converter box/or built in tuner on a new TV- you will not get any picture at all. If you followed all the directions-and the converter box shows no channels- then you do need a better antenna. I don't know how far you are from the broadcast antenna, but a good rule of thumb is if you live 10 miles away, buy an antenna that is good for twice that distance, or further. They are rated in miles of reception
