Question about Washing Machines

Open Question

My samsung sw75v9w diamond drum seems really loose, when it goes through the wash cycle and spins a little every 1-2 secs it seems to be banging the side of the machine. Is there anything I can do to fix this myself?

SOURCE: Three day old Indesit washing machine

Is it a maytag? My maytag front load washing machine had 2 long bolts with plastic braces on them, to keep the drum still during shipping. Mine would bang and shake all over. I got the book out before I finally figured it out. I had to take the back cover off and remove the bolts and plastic braces over them. They look like they' 8 inches long or so. It works great now.

SOURCE: washing machine drum is very wobbly

* General tips
* Balance the load
* Level the machine
* Inspect the water pump for a blockage
* Inspect the coupling
* Inspect the transmission
* Adjust the drive belt tension
* Check the motor bearings
* Check the drum brakes

The above are possibly the general remedies for this problem.But possible if the problem still persists after this, possibly the drum bearings might have been damaged during the previous heavy vibrations.Please do post comments.Will be glad to help you out.Good luck.

SOURCE: my washing machine bangs terribly

Check under the washing machine to see if there is any grey dust. My machine made so much noise on the spin that i could not use it. The solution was the front brick had loose bolts. When I tightened them up, I had no more problems

Check your mounts and support springs---one of them maybe broke or loose---since you haven't described the noise this is the best i can come up with. GL

Drum is loose during Spin and Rinse cycle and banging against side of washer

If it is under warranty, call Whirlpool at 1-866-698-2538. If it is out of warranty, try running the washer with no clothes in it in spin cycle. If it runs fine empty, it may be that when you had clothes in it they were not balanced evenly in the tub. If it runs off balance when empty, then a spring may have broken or come off. Contact an appliance repairman.

Samsung SW75V9W spin

Please be specific, if there is no spin check the motor and voltage when the spin cycle starts, if there is no voltage then the controller is a suspect.
If the spin RPM is low then check the drive and reset for easing the friction.

your front drum support blocks have failed. remove the tub and, replace or, rebolt them in place so they hold the drum front in place.

Banging noise on spin cycle

My beko washing machine was making a racket like this. What it was was the large blocks of concrete bolted to the drum had come loose. Solution was to get a 13mm socket with a bar and extension and tighten them up really hard as far as I could manage. THen the probelm dissapeared no more banging. Worth a try if your has similar blocks attached to outer drum

The drum bangs on the spin

Two possibles for this are aloose balance block or cracked drum spider.The front block is most prone to coming loose.
To check spider rotate drum little by little and pull towards you to check for movement.
Post back if further help needed.
Thankyou
