Intertherm furnace problem?'s

About the Product: I don't know the exact product # and the list below only gave options for air conditioners for "intertherm, but mine is a furnace not an air conditioner...hope you can still help!!!
Pilot light blows out about a minute after I turn the furnace on..tried 3 times, and every time, furnace runs for a minute or so, then blows out the pilot light. We just put a new roof on our trailer and had to extend the chimney about 4', could this be building somekinda back pressure?(doubt it). We also didn't properly seal the chimney right away and had some water leak down into the pipe. Any suggestions??  Thanks

I have an Intertherm furnace in my mobile home. We recently had a new roof put on and the vent pipe to the furnace was extended to about 4'. The pilot light wouldn't stay lit, so I replaced the thermocouple. It would light, but once the furnace came on, it would blow itself out. So I replaced the gas valve and cleaned everything with air. It's doing the same thing.

Check the  chimney  On mobile homes this is a 2 piece chimney and must be installed correctly  What may be happening is the flue gases are getting into the fresh air comming back to the furnace and  and this will smother the flame .

If the pilot light is the thermocouple type the thermocouple is bad and will need replaced. It's the little tube the flame/pilot keeps hot in order that the gas valve will open when the thermostat tells the gas valve to open and the large burner ignites. Hope this helps, Let me know, Thanks Sea Breeze

Yes air blowing over the thermocouple can blow the flame out so check this too.

Put a dial type Thermometer in a register farthest from the furnace. I lowered my temp by 2 degrees, by slowing the blower speed. If you have problems with the blower shutting off, before the thermostat set point, it may be the thermo overload built into the motor. I slowed the speed of my blower from High to Medium High. The heat went from Medium High to Medium Low. This created less heat in the motor, & let it run longer to keep the Temperture at the set point. If you have a dehumidifier, make sure it is not near the furnace intake, because they blow warm air, & the A/C unit will run longer.

I replaced the new thermocouple and that was the problem. I've found out, hundreds of dollars later that just because it's a new thermocouple, right out of the package, doesn't mean it's good.

I replaced the new thermocouple with another new one and now my heater works fine. My cousin seems to think the length of the new vent had something to do with it too.

OK. Let me answer you, even if honestly I don't have any idea about an INTERTHERM FORCED AIR FURNACE. To get any answer, to a problem, you should describe your problem. Just telling that you don't know what's wrong with it is simply no enough information, even for a star expert in your INTERTHERM FORCED AIR FURNACE.

I need an Owners Manual for Intertherm M7RL 060A BW

Unfortunantly In order to download the manual you have to fill out that you are a student HVAC professional at NORDYNE University Log In Register
Once you are in you select north american products.
Then select intertherm and click search products.
The Search will come up.
Select HVAC, Leave Select product type set to optional and type in the box below that M7RL. Click Search products.
Click the first Item on the list M7RL 95.1% AFUE Gas Furnace.
This will give you it all!

Be advised. If you are not a HVAC professional. Installing the furnace is not recommended. In order to get parts you will need to have a Contractors license or EPA Certification to purchase from the supply chains like Johnstone supply (the best place to get any part). Please be careful and think about the dangers of carbon monoxide, gas explosions and improper electrical hookups if you are attempting to do the repair yourself.

Hope this helps you

How do I remove the limit switch from my old furnace?

Sounds like you took a hit from a capacitor. That is the only thing that could Zap you if you are sure all power is off. Usually capacitors hold a charge if their is no resistor/ bleeder on it. Find your capacitor(s) round or oval with wires coming off the top. DISCONECT POWER TO UNIT. Short across the terminals on all capacitors with a screw driver to release charge. Do not touch metal part of screw driver while doing this. Then remove your wires form your limit with insulated insulated needle nose pliers.

The Intertherm AC Model B3BV-030K-A is blowing warm air

If you don’t see any frost on the suction line or big line on the furnace
(that goes from the furnace to the outdoor unit) and the filter and coil are clean then you are probably low on refrigerant.

Intertherm heat pump blows hot then cold then hot

You may have a problem with a temperature safety system.  Before changing anything else, check to see if the unit is clean!!!  Dirt/dust can fool the safety system into an overtemperature status.  Inspect the heat coils for damage and dirt.  Gently clean.
