SOURCE: My Dell Printer Model 1720dn won't let me do "double sided" printing from my MacPro 3.1 with Mavericks OS, Dell has no drivers for Mavericks

use odd page and even page printing option.

Testimonial: "I already knew this, I was hoping to be able to do double-sided printing without the hassle of sending the pages through the printer twice. This defeats the purpose of having paid extra for a double-sided printer"

SOURCE: Need advise on slow running Mavericks?

Did you check hard drive space? You drive may be running out of much needed free spaces. You can check by About This Mac through Apple Logo. Also I would recommend to run Disk Utility Verify/Repair disk in order to fix any error on the drive. You should download Stellar Speedup Mac software to clean & optimise Mac hard drive for free. You can remove plenty of junk data from the startup drive. You can download from here - Stellar SpeedUp Mac
Try to keep at least 25% of hard drive free for OS X operations.

Help i want to reformat my Macbook pro laptop which uses Mac OS 10.9.2 to Mac OS mavericks

the current OS version available for download is Yosemite 10.10.5
therefore if you wanna instal the older Maverick you need to find it as a torrent file and download it.
The file is around 5.3GB and arrives as a self-installer app in your Applications directory, if you want to install Mavericks on other Macs without having to re-download it on each machine, you will need to copy that installer outside of Applications before attempting the installation, otherwise the self-installer will remove itself upon completion.

Works with Mac OS X v10.4, Mac OS X v10.5, OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7 Lion, OS X v10.8 Mountain Lion, OS X v10.9 Mavericks, or OS X v10.10 Yosemite.

It is wireless, so it should work with Netgear 45.

I have an hp scanjet 3570c but it doesn't work in mavericks what can i do?

Wow, those are some amazingly unhelpful posts.

The ScanJet 3570c is obsolete, you aren't going to find a driver from HP for Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks, or likely anything after Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger.

That said, there is a third party solution, VueScan. Your scanner is supported, you can find more info here: http://www.hamrick.com/vuescan/hp_scanjet_3670c.html

Printer problem with OS X 10.9 Mavericks

THE SAMSUNG CLP-310 is fully supported by Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks. The printer driver (like all nowadays) is supplied by Apple not the manufacturer. If you installed drivers/software from a disk, you need to put that disk back in and run the uninstaller. Be sure the printer is removed from the printer list in the Printing system prerefernce pane and then unplug and replug in the printer. If it does not show up automatically you may need to add it manually in the system preferences window (no big deal.)

I am running OS X 10.4.11 and would like to upgrade my operating system?

Please provide more information.
To what would you like to upgrade it?

Since OSX Mavericks was just announced, I'm going to assume that's what you're wanting to upgrade to.

Not all Macs can run Mavericks.

Mavericks Capable Macs

Mavericks, like its predecessor Mountain Lion, requires one of the following Macs with at least 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of available hard drive space:
  • iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
  • MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
  • MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
  • MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
  • Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
  • Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
  • Xserve (Early 2009)

If your Mac isn't one of the ones listed above, you won't be able to upgrade.

If you have an iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, or Mac mini model that was originally released in Early/Mid 2006, the latest version of Mac OS X your system supports is Snow Leopard.
