Question about Salton ICM15 BIG CHILL 1.5 Quart Ice Cream Maker

Open Question

Need to reseal a Salton Big Chill freezer disk

The plug came out of the freezer disk when I was cleaning it after purchasing from a thrift store. The seals are still there and they seem supple. Do I need some sort of extra adhesive, epoxy, or sealant to reseal it, or is it safe to use with just the gaskets (and looks like a broken prong on the plug? What kind of adhesive would be safe to use if it came into contact with food and hold up to both freezing and hot temperatures while washing?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Salton hand crank big chill ice cream maker

I bought one new, and it had a great recipe for Kiwi fruit ice cream, using kiwi fruit and oranges. I can't find the recipe book. You make just over 1 l of fluid ice cream mixture, the bowl must be pre=frozen for at least 15 hours, just put the liquid in the machine and crank the handle in quarter turns (the square outer box helps measure this!) every 5 min for the first 30 min, and then half turns every half hour or so.
