Question about Panasonic PT-60LCX64 Television

Open Question

Panasonic PT-60LCX64 is having sound issues. The speakers work, but after a short time, there is a crackling sound and the left side stops working. Don't know if it's the main board or the smaller amp board in the speaker housing. I am assuming it's the main board due to the heat. Where can I buy the replacement boards? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: Panasonic PT-47WX53G Convergence Problem - board replaced still does not align

hi,
First start by verifying your TV is plugged directly
into a wall plug, no extention cords and no surge protectors. If plugging into the wall stops the shutdowns then
go out and replace what ever cord you were using.otherwise you need a TV tech to look at the TV,the problem could be in many places in the TV where convergence IC may be failing
135 volt supply to the horizontal sweep could be low
almost any low voltage supply could have a cracked
solder connection causing random interuption, also I recall nuisence shutdowns with that Model from the CPU PCB being loose.Left side of chassis all the way to front of PCB
its a small PCB that docks into signal main PCB
and it has 3 plugs that fit into sockets and it does
get loose over time (heating and cooling). What I would do would be unplug the TV then remove and remount the CPU PCB..Thank you!!..

Problem with Panasonic PT-60LCX64 Television My tv which is a PT-60LCX64 will not turn on. It blink green several times and will not show a picture then it turn red blinking light.I tried unplugging and...

Sounds like an internal power issue. Usually a red blinking light is a fatal error, such as bulb or capacitor.

My Panasonic PT-60LCX64 television keeps having a problem with temperature. Every few hours, the TV will turn off and the temp light will blink 4 times. It will turn back on if we give it a rest of 10

Sounds like a fan issue which is possiblt slowing down as it gets warm. I would try removing the rear cover and set a fan behind it blowing on the chassis and see if the set keeps running if so the fans would be suspect.

Sound fluxuates, crackling sound samsungTX-R3079WH sound goes up and down automaticly

If the sound FLUCTUATES up & down, try turning off the AutoVolume in the sound menu. You didn't say if it's one or all speakers crackling. Crackling is either a speaker or circuitry issue. Adjust the balance away from the speaker that crackles, if it stops, that speaker is probably "fried". If it still crackles, I'd turn off the speakers and run the sound thru a stereo for the quick, cheap fix. My Samsung (10+ years old to be fair) crackles due to a circuit issue but if I SMACK the left side speaker (behind which is the sound board and side panel connectors) it stops for a while. Maddening. I think I broke it squeezing it into the furniture it's in, pressing on the protruding RCA plugs. Dumb design.

External speakers

Hi,

Unfortunately no. The Panasonic PT-60LCX64 TV does not have any jacks, plugs or external connection point to attach he wires of external speakers.

Alternately however, it is possible to install 2 pairs of speaker terminals on the backboard and wire them in parallel to the internal speakers.

Hope this be of help/information. Good luck and kind regards.
