SOURCE: fuel line diagram for 358.352160

It is most likely a Poulan almost all are. The IPL is the only manufacturer supplied fuel system detail, it lists components, part numbers and very little routing detail. and is usually spread over multiple illustrations.

I think you'll find the short video, a few notes and a typical system most helpful. Any local saw shop can provide replacement hose.

  • The hose in the tank with the filter on the free end connects directly to the carburetor input connection.
  • If the saw is equipped with a primer bulb, an output line from the carburetor connects to the suction side of the primer (once the bulb is collapsed it draws fuel from the tank through the carburetor to refill as it inflates).
  • The pressure side of the primer returns displaced fuel to the tank as it is depressed.
Take lots of notes and a few digital photographs to help with reassembly.

SOURCE: route for fuel lines of craftsmen chainsaw

In general, the routing is from the fuel filter in the tank, through about 3 inches of fuel line inside the tank, then through the upper wall of the tank near the carburetor position and up to the top of the carburetor. Don't make any sharp bends in the line or it will eventually kink at that point. The line within the tank should allow the filter to flop around to find the lowest pick-up point as the saw position is changed. If the saw has a primer bulb, it should pull fuel from the carburetor (at a lower port) into the bulb when it is pumped. Another line runs from the output side of the bulb back down into the tank to return fuel (no filter here). Fill the tank with fuel mix and attempt to pump fuel into the bulb from the carburetor (leave the return line loose for a test). If successful, attach the remaining line to the bulb, and attempt start. Hope this helps!

Sounds like fuel vapor lock. Check routing of fuel line,. Try to route line away from heat as much as possible. If that's not possible, wrap fuel line with heat resistant tape near heat source.

Where is the fuel leaking from exactly?
Generally you don't get diagrams od fueling routes. They often go via the most direct route from tank to carb/primer

What is the fuel line route between gas tank and carburetor on 1991 softtail?

Hi Ted, the best route is one that has nice easy bends, no sharp kinking type, and goes as straight as possible directly to the carb, no long downward loop to facilitate an external fuel filter, put the filter above intake manifold. Good luck

How do i route the fuel lines to the carburator ?

Depending on which carb you have it should be the fuel line closest to the bottom on the right side of the carb that goes to the small side of the primer bulb. The long side of the primer bulb will go to the fuel tank as the return line.

Fuel line routing diagrams for 86 yamaha fz600

You can route it any way you want really. I'm not familiar with your specific model but if you don't have a fuel filter (you should) or a fuel pump to worry about it's just a matter of finding the easiest path from the inlet nipple from the carburetor rack to the petcock on the tank...

That's an awesome number of innuendos in one sentence!
