White spirit is NOT what you should use. Mineral spirit leaves a residue film.

Use 99% isoprophyl alcohol.

ALSO inspect the contactboard for cracks by candeling with bright light behind it.

You need to replace the battery. It will most likely be a coin sized battery in a slip in holder on the main board. If you need help, here is ROland Customer Service contact info-

After that, you can reset the E96 back to the factory settings by following the directions here-

I have a RMP-5 Rhythm Coach. I cannot get any sound from the pad when I practice. Help

Hi, after doing a bit of googling it occurs to me that the internal speaker is ONLY for the metronome / click & not for the drum sounds themselves. You will need headphones or some external audio gear like your hi-fi system or oth r amp & speaker. I found this "The pad has 54 sounds in it (covering all parts of the drum kit but mostly snares), which are triggered when you hit the mesh head, but these can only be heard over headphones. The built in speaker is only used by the metronome sound (when there are no headphones attached) and then it only has a beep sound attached to it. However, plug in headphones and you get a variety of available click sounds including a proper ticking clockwork metronome." Hope that helps a little? Good Luck :-)

Hi, I am undecided about which digital piano to buy: Yamaha Arius 141 or Roland F110? help appreciated, thanks, karol.

I have two Yamaha's and I will say they are maintainable. Almost ALL the weighted piano key models use a keyboard made by one company as I understand it. I can easily get service manuals for the Yamaha, not quite as easy for the Roland... same goes for repair parts. Your decision... listen to each and decide. Hint: Use a set of headphones to do the compparision rather than internal speakers as the orientation in a music store can drastically change the sound.

I have a roland kc 150 65w amp that begins humming the moment i turn it on. its a normal low frequency hum. nothing is plugged into it, and when i ajust the volume knobs it does not effect the sound. How...

First thing is to determine if sound is from the speaker or possibly the cabinet. If from the cabinet it is likely the power transformer is vibrating the chassis. This sometimes can be cured by adjusting the mounting bolts.
If the sound is from the speaker, then an electronic "cure" is needed. Please note that a very quiet hum is normal but if you can hear it 5 foot away, that is un-normal.

The hum would probably be due to failing component in the power supply. Unles you are adept at electronic repair, best to take it in for servicing.

I first would suspect the switches on the eadphone jack. Normally these cut off the speakers when headphones are plugged in. These jacks and the switches are really weak, poorly made, and easily broken, especially if headphone cord gets yanked.
