Your speaker is damaged and likely needs replaced or you have a bad hand mic.

My proline laptop makes cracking noise when playing songs or video?

Try and lift the rear of the machine off the flat. this will allow more air flow. The cracking is usually caused by blown speakers. Try turning the volume down to lessen this. Or plug in a set of desktop speakers.

My computer speakers are popping and cracking.

Check connecting and Volume settings. Speakers might be blown. This happens when high volume is played and speaker tears causing a poping and crakling sound

Left computer speaker is unpredictable

Take no offense but after 8 years, you got your moneys worth. Unless you're good with the soldering iron and schematics, call it a great investment and update your speaker system. I imagine your computer is newer than the speakers and you can take advantage of some 5.1 surround sound! It's really great if you do any gaming, too.
Since you'll probably be getting rid of them anyway, you might want to crack it open and see if there's any loose wiring that can be fixed.
Thanks for using Fixya.com. Please rate this tip accordingly. I wish there was a better solution but I usually get 5 years out of mine so I feel jealous. :-)

Receiver shuts off when you turn up the volume.

your safety overload circuit is kicking in and prenting the amp from shorting. you have a bad speaker most likely or horn. try operation it with headphones next. try bookshelf speakers at a moderate level to test if it persists then the amp has a biggger problem.

Subwoofer crakling sound when playing anything.

Hello Ronaldlora
Happy Holidays

Hi, this is a particular problem for this speakers, and subwofer, it is a resistor inside the sub, you have to fix it in a repair shop, or ...sadly, change for another model of Creative Speakers, for example one good one is the 7800 Spk. good ones.
but like I say is a problem that creative labs is aware too.
