Broken tape. Cassette will not eject. How can I correct?

With power off, you will have to disassemble the player to get access to the tape mechanism. You will find tape is preventing the cassette door from closing to allow ejection. Remove damaged tape. Apply power and press EJECT. Turn power off and inspect the mechanism to be sure all tape debris has been removed, then reassemble the player.

I experience problems with my VCR. A tape got stuck. After I removed the tape, it comes up with an error message F03

If you have children who can access the machine, unplug it, turn it upside down and listen for any rattles or loose bits inside. Kids are notorious for 'posting' coins, half eaten snacks and the like into the 'letter box'. Any loose objects, particularly metal, MUST be removed before switching on again. If a tape has become damaged, bits left inside the machine, it will have to opened up to remove the debris and ensure that the tape transport path including all rollers etc are cleared.

Tape is stuck inside a technic RS-TR575

This is the biggest reason why I say that the designer of these fancy little door/cradles SHOUL HAVE BEEN SHOT before invention. With a strong longnose plier break the casing of the cassette The Technics that I worked on the lid of this door can be removed from the outside Be careful with the tape itself if the recording is of great value to you that you do not stretch or break the tape. REMOVE all power batteries or mains or both ! then turn the flywheel in the OPPOSITE direction so that the tape can be unwound. You do get empty shells that can be used in the place of the one you gotta break the shell It remains a messy sort of business After you have removed the tape inspect the rolle and capstan shaft are they CLEAN and free running to prevent this from happening again. In the future it is a good habit to fast forward or rewind the tape from end to end.In the user instruction booklet some manufacturers recommend this. If you are scared to damage your machine then get this done by an expert and ask him/her to show you in future.

A cassette has jammed inside my vcr machine. It will not move forward or backward Can yoy please help

Hello,

Since the tape won't come out then it means you will have to manually remove the stuck tape. This involves you disassembling the unit in order to help/assist the player get the stuck tape out.

Turn of the unit and remove from the wall, get a Philip screw driver, use it to remove all the screws from the unit and take it apart.

Open the cover and you will see the stuck tape and what's hooking or preventing it from coming out/ejecting.

Now plug the unit, and turn it on. Press the eject button, as the tape tries to come out, support it with your hand so that it can come out.

Or if it happen that the cassette tape has coiled inside the unit, carefully free the coiled tape and the press the eject button.

Lastly, the moment you disassemble the player, you would see what's preventing it from coming out, then you can free whatsoever that is making it stuck press the eject button and the tape should come out.

Make sure the unit is turned off each time you want to remove what's making the cassette stuck.

I hope understand the above explanations.

Good luck.

CASSETTE STUCK IN VCR WONT EJECT I TURN VCR ON IT STAYS

When the tape has been removed the carriage deck will still be in the wrong position. The cassette tray has to be aligned so that the timing of the tape will detect that there is a tape in the machine. At the moment your VCR thinks there is a tape still in it because the cassette tray is not in the full eject position. This can be fixed by a service technician.

The DAT machine needs new belts and maybe some cleaning. These fail all the time due to old belts that lose the tension that is required.

Error 2 on Front Panel

I'm not sure if this is a solution, but it cleared up the problem for me. It turned out there was a loose paper label for the cassette that got stuck inside the VCR with the cassette.

I had to take off the top of the VCR by removing the three screws. I then removed the jammed loose paper and then was able to get the cassette out. The flashing number 2 (whatever that means) went away. The machine seems to be working fine now.

Camera cassette errors

Often in this situation there are two issues that can casue the problem you are having. 1. The tape is casuing the camera to "reject" it. In other words, it thinks there is something wrong with the tape so it is warning you with the error message. Perhaps the cassette has been damaged slightly. This error can also happen when the tape has been used often or taped over a few times. Solution: Try using a new tape. 2. The camera may need to be cleaned. The recording heads may be dirty and it doesn't matter what tape is placed in there. Purchase a cleaning tape from a consumer electronics store. Make sure you read the directions very carefully. These are cheap fixes. If it works, great. Otherwise it may need to be serviced by your local technician. Let me know how it goes.

Stuck tape

If you haven't already done so, don't get overly forceful to avoid bending or breaking something. Often the cassette carriage mechanism is gear driven, and by moving the gear one direction or the other will unload the tape. You may need to disassemble the machine further to gain access to the drive mechanisim. Sometimes the carriage mech. can be entirely removed from the VCR by removing the attachment screws. Other times, these screws are made inaccessible by the tape itself. Look down on the right side of the carriage. If you do remove the carriage, mark the gear positioning first! as the gears must be positioned back exactly as they were from the manufacturer. You might need to employ the services of a technician if things are complicated.
