Put in wrong password for wifi and then accidentally hit forget and now it wont let me type in a password at all

Just got this tablet for my son and I tried to connect to our wifi at home and I put in the wrong password. Then I touched where it says netgear and accidentally hit forget and then it wouldn't let me try to connect at all. I reset it to factory settings to see if that would fix it but it didn't. Can you help me please?!??

You need to select the wi-fi website again, and enter the password again. It will then store the password.

If you forget the site, it forgets the password connection to the site and you have to start again.

My kindle has lost its wi-fi connection. i enter set up my kindle rejects the connection saying i wrong password but i have entred the correct password. how can i correct it?

reset the wifi on the modem it should have a reset some where on it and then forget the network on your kindle, and turn off the kindle and when you turn back on the kindle will find the network again and re enter the password remember the passwords are case sensitive and also it might be readying a space at the end of the password so make sure you hit the delete after the last digit of your password

Can't connect to WiFi connects but says saved

You need to press the "forget" button the next time you try to connect, and then let the tablet find the router again.

You apparently have tried and not entered the proper password, and now when you try to connect it is still going to wrong password.

Once you press "forget" it will reset and you can enter the password again.

Good luck with that.

Tab wont accept password and open

Passwords are case sensitive.
Check to make sure that you don't have the caps on.
Also make sure that there are no spaces at the beginning.
If you accidentally hit the space bar it will make a spot like you typed something in.

I am getting "Authentication Problem" with WiFi on 2 tablets - excellent signal. Accepts the security code and will hold for a minute or so.

I see three points:
1. check if the password of the router is the same you have signed in the wifi-account of your tablets - it's typical that a wrong password is prompted with no error message.
2. check if the wifi-protection of your router has the same type (WPA, WPA2) as your tablets use
3. check if the router accepts new wifi-devices, sometimes there is a checkbox "only known devices can access via wifi"
