Two cursors when driver is installed on Windows Vista

I installed the driver on my laptop that has Windows Vista.  When I use the pen the screen shows two cursors.  I've tried unistalling and reinstalling, rebooting, unplugging and plugging to a different USB port.  Nothing seems to work.

I have the exact same problem. It worked fine on my old computer, but now there's two cursors, and it's impossible to get anything done. This is a relatively new tablet, and I don't want to have to buy another...

Same problem here only with the adesso cyber 12000! It's driving me crazy and I can't get a response from Adesso!! I assume that this issue could be solved for both tablets if someone could find a solution.

Yes I have Vista and the 6x8 tablet and I get two cursors as well... Also, it doesn't work well with photoshop, no pressure sensitivity...

Same problem, i also installed the Aiptek V3.15 drivers and it solved the double cursor, it makes it work but gives you no way to change settings wiht it (sensitivity ect.)

Been searching forums for the past few hours and this is getting ridiculous. I am suffering from the same problems. Worked fine until i bought a new computer (running Vista.) The mouse bounces around and is useless.

The odd thing is, when i open the tablet control panel, it works fine but as soon as i click on my desktop, the cursor starts dancing around and i wait to punch my screen.

Plan to contact Adesso tech support on Monday, but from what i read about their availability, I am not getting my hopes.

Feel like i got ripped off. Paid $200 for a piece of ****.

i am having the same problem it worked fine when my computer was Windows XP, i upgraded my computer to Vista and now it shows two cursors and they shake. i thought that the problem was Pen Flicks which came with my Vista Package but the same thing happened when i shut that program off. i have also tryed reinstalling the software that came with the tablet but nothing happened. is there any soulutuion to this annoying problem?

Having the same problem with my Aiptek Hyperpen 8000u pen. Works fine on XP but I get the double cursor with Vista. It helped when I updated the driver, but I still get the double cursor about half of the times that I put the pen on the tablet. I fix it, temporarily, by picking up the pen and placing it back on the tablet a few times...I guess this resets the location. But it's extremely annoying.

I wanted to post that I solved my problem by updating my drivers. Oddly enough, the website of the company that made my tablet (Aiptek) didn't have the most recent drivers. I actually found the drivers for Vista at Strange, but it works perfectly now.

Subject: cybertablet 8600

I have had my cybertablet about 6 months. It works fine on my old computer but not on my new vista computer. I downloaded the new drivers from your website that say Vista on them but I still get a double cursor. I have found that many people on internet forums are having this same problem. Are you going to make a vista compatable driver for the 8600?

Mousepad on laptop too sensitive, jumps and opens links all the time

Hi I also have OS Vista, try this:-
go to the bottom left corner of the screen to the windows button and single click it, move the cursor to "control panel", leave it there and a whole new list of stuff will appear, move the cursor to "personalization" and click it once. This will open a box on the screen. Single click on "mouse pointers", this will open another smaller box with 8 tabs inside. You can click on any of these tabs and adjust your mouse actions to your own preferences, eg; how the pointer looks, how fast you double click, how fast the pointer moves on the screen, anything you like :)
Once you have made all your adjustments, click "apply" in the bottom right corner of the box and this will save the changes you've made.
I hope this helps.

My screen was shaky nd i visited a engineer and he changed my laptop screen.I later found out that the nvidia geforce i had been using on the old screen was disabled,i enabled it nd restart my laptop and...

If the screen displays an image it is the right screen. The video card, in this case an nvidia geforce 9300, might be defective in which case it would need to be fixed by dell. But it sounds like it could just be an issue with getting the right drivers. The drivers can be found here:
for 32bit windows vista,

and here:
for 64bit versions of vista.

If you aren't sure if you have a 32 or 64-bit version you can find out by right clicking on "my computer" and going to properties. It will be listed under system type.

Unistalling Microsoft VISTA HOME Edition

Are booting the laptop from the XP CD? If so it should just give you an option to delete partitions then format and install starts. If you try installing XP after Vista has loaded it wont let you as XP is older. Cheers from Scott

Double-Cursor to Obsolete

Is this driver certified for Vista? If it worked partially before and fails completely now, roll back to the previous driver. Compatibility is the key.

Webcam driver probably did not install properly.

Go to Device Manager. Unistall the Webcam. Reboot.

Vista will scan for new hardware, locate the Webcam and reinstall the driver.

Good luck.

Two cursors when driver is installed on Windows Vista

it is a vista issue, you have to download a driver from another company for a different tablet, it is not an addesso driver, but it fixes the double mouse problem, the driver is from
Nisis / Aiptek V3.15 drivers google that and download the driver, it should fix it
