Question about Canon PowerShot D10 Digital Camera
Newly charged battery and wont turn on.
The manual in this case says:
Confirm the battery is properly inserted. (Some people manage to put in the battery, the wrong way around) Please check.
Confirm the memory card/battery cover is securely closed.
And if the battery terminals are dirty, battery performance will decrease. Clear the terminals with a cotton swab and reinsert the battery several times.
Also in low temperatures, the battery won't deliver enough power.
If you want to be sure the battery is still good enough, use a multimeter to check the voltage. The measured voltage should be a little above the voltage printed on the battery. In your case above 3,7 Volt. If it is just 3,7 or lower, you can be sure the batty has had its best days and won't be delivering enough power (current) to let the camera work correct. in that case try another battery.
