There is a sensor bar usually two on the inside of the dryer either in the front where the lint trap is or in the back right corner u will have to take the machine apart to ensure that the wire is firmly connected to thsoe sensor bars that would be the first thing i would recommend u check symptoms are itruns for about ten minutes and cuts off and clothes are still damp but time cycle works fine.

SOURCE: Logixx 10 Dryer stops after 2-3 minutes (clothes

Make sure your vent work isn't clogged with lint. This will slow airflow down and cause the temperature sensor (thermostat) to open due to excessively high temperature in the filter chamber of the dryer. This is a good thing because you could otherwise have a fire! Shorten any flexible pieces of ductwork as much as possible. This will help increase the flow of air. Go to where the vent discharges (outside usually) and feel for airflow. A piece of paper should bend about 30 or 40 degrees if you have good air flow. Once you've done this and the problem still persists then you may have a bad temperature limiter which opens prematurely and doesn't reset in a proper amount of time. This is about a $12.00 part but you have to pull the front of the dryer off to get to it. It's in the vent chamber. Remove the lint filter and you should see a small silver button looking device (1/2" circle) near the bottom. That's the culprit. Simply take it out and go to RepairClinic.com and you should be able to find this part there. Good luck.

I have Samsung gas dryer model DV410. no heat, replaced two thermal fuse and hi low limit. Now it only works with timed cycle mode. the rest mode, it runs only for least the 5 minutes and shut off.

timed cycle mean dryer not on sensor dry mode. check wire connection on moisture sensor bars (i think you forget to put 2 wire connector put together). when you use other cycle dryer use moisture sensor to dry cloths so sensor not working dryer will stop in 5 minutes or so because dryer think there are no wet cloths to dry. hope this help you.

Maytag dryer se1000 runs for 15 minutes then shuts off

Clean your sensors if you have them. They might have junk on them that could be forming a moisture barrier preventing the sensors from feeling the wetness of them clothes. The dryer may think them clothes is dry because it cannot sense wetness.

Hello, I just replaced the timer in my kenmore elite model #11073942101, but this did not fix the problem. The timer seems to be very eratic one time you might set it for 50 minutes come back and it will...

Wet clothes are electrically conductive. As the wet clothes tumble, they touch the two metal bars in the drum.8ce8a4f.jpg There is a capacitor on the control that is trying to build up a charge, but when wet clothes create a short from one bar to the other, this charge is released to the frame of the dryer, therefore discharging the capacitor.9c13fc0.jpg As long as the capacitor charge is low, the control knows the clothes are wet. As the clothes become dryer, they short the bars fewer and fewer times. Once the capacitor charge builds to a certain level, the control knows the clothes are mostly dry, and it advances the program to the final timed portion, usually less than 20 minutes, some of which is a cool down portion to reduce wrinkling. If your dryer is eratic, that means the control capacitor sometimes ain't getting discharged. This can be due to a few different reasons: 1. Sensing bar wire is disconnected or broken; 2. Load is not large enough (remember the bars must be contacted repeatedly); 3. Bars are "coated" by fabric softener build up and need to be cleaned with Windex or 409. 4. Defective control board. 5. Airflow is restricted and moisture can't escape the drum.1986379.jpg 6. Corrosion built-up on sensing board connection.(yank out the board and clean the contacts that sometimes is all it takes) Address the airflow condition and load size. Clean the sensor bars and make sure the wires are all connected securely.

The dryer begins to heat runs a few minutes then cuts off

First, wet clothes are electrically conductive. With electronic sensing dryers as the wet clothes tumble, they touch the two metal bars in the drum.8e70df0.jpg There is a capacitor on the control that is trying to build up a charge, but when wet clothes create a short from one bar to the other, this charge is released to the frame of the dryer, therefore discharging the capacitor. As long as the capacitor charge is low, the control knows the clothes are wet. If your dryer is shutting off after only 10 minutes, that means the control capacitor is never getting discharged. 5. Airflow is restricted and moisture can't escape the drum. 6. Corrosion built-up on sensing board connection.(yank out the board and clean the contacts that sometimes is all it takes on some models) Address the airflow condition and load size. Clean the sensor bars and make sure the wires are all connected securely.

sounds like an air flow problem meaning the dryer is not exhausting the hot air. Best way to check is to disconnect exhaust tubing from dryer and run a cycle. If the clothes dry normally the vent to the outside is plugged. Hope this helps

Dryer Problem

EC4 The temperature of air vent
Within 30 minutes of dry cycle there is 5 minutes in which the temperature is not increasing.

You need to call for repairs. Probably the heating element is faulty.

You can create a custom program without a dry cycle and hang dry your clothing.
