SOURCE: i need to know how

i agree with shiming the nut bridge, but if you ABSOLUTLEY have to adjust it: on the head stock exactly behind the nut bridge there should be a piece of plastic with 3 little srews. remove them and you should see a allen wrench head that is used to adjust the truss rod if you want to tighten, rotate allen head NO MORE THAN A QTR TURN to the right, make sure you let this set for at least 24-48 (preferably 48 so you can let the neck settle) hrs before adjusting another qtr turn if needed.

How do i adjust intonation on a peavey predator plus exp?

To adjust the intonation on a guitar you need the following. ..
a electronic tuner
and a small philip screwdriver

when you tune a string say low E you play the note open and adjust tell it's in tune
then to intonate play the low E at the 12th fret
producing a Harmonic, view the tuner it will be sharp or flat,
turn the small philip screw on the bridge adjustment
it only takes a small turn one way or the other so go slow
once the string is tuned at the harmonic note check to see if it's in tune played open, keep tuning and adjusting tell the strings are in tune open and at the 12th fret on all six strings
once intonation is set properly the guitar will sound better
really hope that helps?

I have an old JB Player electric guitar. It has a wammy bar (black). Anyway the part that the wammy bar goes into that holds the strings down at the bottom of the guitar is not good any more. I think...

i am not familiar with that guitar. But if it's a strat style guitar you can get the springs here....

http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_tailpieces/Electric_guitar_tremolo_parts/Tremolo_Tension_Spring.html?actn=100101&xst=3&xsr=4684

You can try just adding a spring or replacing all of them....

Washburn guitar B and high E string sound real buzzy-tinny. am fretting it clean. It just started doing it. Any Help?

Probably time for string replacement !!! They do go bad...

Get a set and try the E string... if it fixes that one, change ALL the strings at one sitting, but do them one at a time and tune each as you go... this keeps the tension and minimizes the interaction when you do the final tuning.

We need to replace a broken tuning peg for a Washburn D10SB series acoustic guitar . Where can we get them from?

Almost any guitar store would have this and any Luthier would likely have a replacement.

Washburn is a name brand so it should be easy to find the replacement.

Ibanez intonation problem

Hi there. Use guitar tuner. Pluck string in open position. Tune. Now pluck same string at 12th fret. If tuner says flat, adjust bridge for that string towards neck. Towards bridge if sharp. Repeat procedure until in tune at open and 12th fret. Go to next string and repeat procedure.
Thanks
Paul

What kind of strings are best for washburn X 10

the washburn X10 is an electric guitar.

first thing you you want to make sure of is that you ask for electric guitar strings

next consider what kind of music your are playing...

heavier music or really moody warm tones your going to want thicker strings

med to heavy guage

if you want clear crisp tones than go with lighter guage

light to med

lighter guages are also easier on the finger tips.

the sizes usually refer the the smallest string on the bottom or the first string.

9 is the light 10-11 is med 12 is heavy

you might also want to consider nylon coated strings

they last longer

have great tone

easy on the fnger tips

but they cost more

I need to know how to adjust my truss bar on my washburn d10 to make the string action bigger

Actually you can do this by adding shims under the saddle to raise the action. Then use the truss rod to make the action uniform if necessary. I try to avoid making adjustments to the neck because it could lead to undesirable perminent alteration to the neck. If you do make adjustments to the truss rod you should tune the guitar to pitch and let it sit left alone overnight to allow the wood time to adjust to the new adjustments.

Here is a link to an article on Adjusting action on an Acoustic Guitar.
