Question about Bass Clothing Accessories

Leather upper to sole tearing at seam

There is some wearing on the sole of the shoe but at the top side of the right shoe where the upper leather meets the seam the leather is coming apart as if the sewing at that part of the shoe has cut the leather. It has not come apart so that it can be repaired or resewn but the leather is cut. These are really good and comfortable shoes and I would like to see if there is a way to get it fixed from the factory. Thank you

They may not be repairable from the factory. There is a kind of nylon that can be put in on either side of the seam to strengthen the seam and hold it together.

Theres the obvious which is get new shoes because they do still make them, but there are other solutions. One you can wear the laces as they are. Two you can look online to find new laces, but they are extremely hard to find. Three look for laces that are similar but can replace the laces. Four buy a used pair just for the laces. Now all of these will only work if they laces can come off. If not then there is nothing you can really do to fix the laces the way they were unfortunately.

I have found that a simple phone call can do wonders! Companies such as Hush Puppies has built a reputation which I am sure they want to uphold, so customer service and satisfaction is important to them. Their phone number is 1-866-699-7365 (M-F, 9:00 - 7:00). Here is a link to their site as well:

http://www.hushpuppies.com/US/en-US/ContactUs/Form.mvc.aspx

I highly suggest a phone call rather than an email. Simply explain what happened (and it wouldn't hurt to say something like "I am a big fan of Hush Puppies and have never had this problem before.") and offer a solution (i.e., you will pay to ship the shoes back if they will send you a replacement pair or fix yours). Companies are more receptive if you already have a solution in mind rather than just calling to complain and vent. And no matter how rude the person on the other end of the phone is, maintain your composure and be abrupt but polite. If the person is not willing to help you (even if they say they are sorry but there is just nothing they can do), ask to speak to the manager/supervisor. ALWAYS get the name (first and last) of the person you are speaking with and make a note of it. If the manager/supervisor does not assist you to your satisfaction then keep moving up the chain.

If after all your efforts they still say "no," then repeat their names and let them know that you are going to report them to the Better Business Bureau (or whatever version you have in your country). Don't be surprised if they change their tune!

Good luck and "walk on!"

Happy shopping!

Tip on how to shine patent Leather Reebok Shoes.

1. Clean your Reebok patent leather shoes with mild soap and water to be sure they are free of debris before shining.
2. Pour a few drops of mineral oil onto a clean, lint-free cloth.
3.Buff any scuffs on the surface of your patent leather Reeboks with mineral oil first. The mineral oil will help repair the scuff marks so your shoes look unblemished.
4.Add a few more drops of mineral oil to the cloth and rub the cloth over the entire shoe. Use circular buffing motions to make the shoe shine
5.Allow the oil to settle into the leather overnight before wearing, as wearing them right away could encourage dust to collect on the surface

Don't work with some glue. You must fix it from interior side. Or you can sew with needle and thread black exterior, but a Chinese work. This solution will take time, the solder did not think so.

How do I clean my stormbuck boots from Timberland? The store did not know

Considering everything that we might step in during the day, it's a wonder that we bring our shoes into our homes at all. Cleaning our shoes not only gets all that grime back out the door, but it makes the shoes look better and last longe
Instructions Things You'll Need:

 • Shoe brushes
 • White vinegar
 • Soft cloths
 • Nylon bristle brush
 • Pencil erasers or fine sandpaper
 • Leather cleaner or saddle soap
 • Leather conditioner
 • Waterproofer
 • Shoe polish
 • Shoe polishing cloths
 • Baking soda
 1. Clean smooth leather shoes by first removing the laces and giving them a vigorous brushing with a shoe brush.

 2. Clean salt stains from shoes by mixing equal parts white vinegar and water and dampening a small cloth. Use the cloth to scrub the stained area. For suede or nubuck, use a nylon bristle brush.

 3. Use leather cleaner or saddle soap to clean the leather with a soft cloth. Pay particular attention to the seams.

 4. Clean suede or nubuck with a pencil eraser or fine sandpaper, then rub with a bath towel to bring up the nap again.

 5. Apply leather conditioner to all leather shoes, taking care to use the correct kind for smooth leather or suede. Conditioner keeps your shoe leather soft.

 6. Waterproof your shoes.

 7. Polish your shoes to help protect them and to give them a clean-looking gloss.

 8. Deodorize your shoes by sprinkling a generous amount of baking soda into them and shaking the shoes to distribute it inside. Let stand overnight, and then shake the baking soda out
