I have the Motorola MD 7161-3 (by 2 users)
The 2 extra handsets have stopped working. You can make calls from them and view caller ID information but when the phone rings you cannot answer from those 2 phones. Neither do they show the caller ID info when they ring. What is going on with the handsets? Can they be fixed? I've only had the phones for 7 months.

Only 1 of the 3 handsets is working after about 45 minutes whilst the other 2 do not work at all except to continually display SEARCHING ... In fact, I even tried to completely factory reset the phones as described on Motorola's FAQs web page including deregistration/registration but without success. However, on one occasion, a second handset worked briefly until I disconnected and reconnected the battery, then it displayed the same message as before.
