Please delete your post, and repost without using the transaction information, as the number may possibly be used to steal your money. Putting your number on the Internet can lead you to victimized by scammers, same with your email. Please don't do this.

Your dealings should be taken up with Paypal, and Bill me later. Fixya does not have control over either of those Businesses.

Does this help? Let us know.

SOURCE: I am frequently unable to login to Paypal and thus

Hi Eileen,

Are you using the following sites for Paypal?

If you go to the correct site for your location and put in your registered email address and password, what happens.

I would think you have a problem with the email address or the password.

On the login screen is an option if you have fogotten any of your details.
I suggest that you pick that option.

SOURCE: Email asking for account details

This is 100% scam and we should aware of this type of emails. Usually they include links like "click here to verify your account" etc.. and in most cases, this email isn't text format but image format where they insert hyperlink and as soon as click on the area of the mail, you'll be directed to another phishing site with the similar website like paypal (only the appearance,) if so open it, but don't enter any information and check the web address on the address bar, you'll see something like (4 w's) or (3w's with 1), etc..

Just ignore it and forward or send this email to paypal directly to their Scam Alert email

This has been circulating for some time now, so we need to be aware of this, they can easily copy your paypal's password and username/email address as soon as you attempt to login. There more with this, at your first attempt, you'll get an error message that your username or password is incorrect, at that time they've already captured your login account info and have been directed to the original paypal website. If you don't believe, use wrong/random email address and password, click login and see what happens.

This is What We Call Phishing.

Good luck

Thanks for using FixYa.

You must be setting up Premier and Business accounts.
A PayPal account can provide a convenient way to handle many kinds of financial activities online.

You can securely send and receive money, purchase items from online merchants and even pay some of your household bills without revealing your financial data or credit card numbers to strangers.

PayPal makes these services available through your computer and through mobile devices.
Like your local bank, PayPal also lets you download a monthly statement and other reports about your online activities. EBay owns PayPal, and it is the preferred payment method for many buyers and sellers in EBay auctions.

Visit the PayPal site to review the account types (personal, premier and business) and the terms of service.

You must provide your name, address and email address to begin the registration process.
After PayPal confirms that your email address is valid, that email will become your login identification.
You will choose your own password during the registration process.

You must also select two challenge questions and answers that you will use to request a lost password if yours is lost or forgotten.

After you register, PayPal must verify your identity and your financial information before you can use your account to make payments.

Verify your account by giving PayPal your bank account information, a credit card number or your debit card information.

To verify that you have an account at the financial institution, you must agree to allow PayPal to make a small deposit to the account that you provided account.

After your financial institution acknowledges receipt of the PayPal deposit, you will be ready to use your PayPal account.
Linking Accounts

PayPal gives you the option of linking your credit card or bank account to your PayPal account, after verification.

When someone sends funds to your PayPal account, you can leave the money there for future use, use it to shop or make payments.

You will also have the option of transferring the funds out from your PayPal account into your bank account that is on record in your profile.

If you prefer to keep your funds separate, you can make deposits to your PayPal account from your regular bank account.

When you use PayPal for online transactions, you can choose each time whether to use only the funds in your PayPal account or to use funds from your bank or credit card account.

PayPal also offers a reloadable MasterCard debit card that qualified account holders use to immediately transfer their funds from their PayPal account. It is accepted at ATMs, as well as online and offline merchants that accept MasterCards.

You may need to upgrade your personal account to Premier or Business if you need to accept credit card payments.

PayPal charges Personal account users fees for receiving money from credit card payments.
It also limits your total monthly transactions.

Premier and Business accounts have higher monthly transaction limits; however, they also have fees for receiving credit card payments.

How to file a dispute against the Seller using PayPal

Prepare all PayPal transaction info regarding your dispute, particularly the PayPal transaction ID. Note, this is ONLY for transactions made from PayPal's website, this is not applicable for all other payment transactions made over the internet.

Follow this simple steps in filing a claim / dispute against the seller from PayPal.

Click here and log in to file a dispute, if that didn't work, use this web address:

After logging in, you should see this page:

.. click on that yellow button saying "Dispute a Transaction". You will see this page after clicking that button:

.. select item dispute and click the yellow button saying "Continue".
After that, you'll be taken to this page:

If you have the transaction ID prepared, type it on the box provided, if not, you can search for it by clicking the "Find transaction ID" button and select the specific transaction ID from your PayPal transaction history.

When your PayPal transaction history pops out, make sure it captures the date from when you made the transaction, see from the sample below, my history is showing only all of my activities from January 12, 2010 to today, February 11.

Once you find the specific transaction, click on the Transaction ID and it will take you back to this page with the Transaction ID already in the textbox..

.. all you need to do is click that yellow button saying "Continue".

And from there, you will be asked 1 or 2 more questions which you have to answer by selecting the appropriate option applicable to you, so you can finalize the dispute.

Note that this dispute does not guarantee that your money will be given back to you. PayPal will freeze your seller's account until your problem is resolved forcing them to return your money. However, if the seller decides to close the specific account, that's not gonna be good for you, you will totally loose the money that you paid but the dispute that you filed will damage his/her credit track record, because as you know, PayPal is linked to our our credit cards and/or bank accounts.

Good luck!

You will have to deal with PayPal and go to file a complaint on PayPals web site after you login. There is nothing really anyone can do here for you since PayPal needs a login and password username in order to go to your account. Do not give out that information to anyone. Look in the help section of PayPal's site once you login and file a complaint. Thanks for using FixYa! John

Hello, I just recieved an email confirming a payment from my bank account through PayPal to a company I did not order from or have no knowledge of. There is a Transaction ID , Order #, Invoice ID and...

Do not click on any web address you do not recognise. It is possible it is a scam.

Go directly to the paypal site and login to see if the transaction appears on there.

If the transaction appears on the paypal site contact paypal directly to query the transaction.
If the transaction DOES NOT appear on paypal report the e-mail to paypal through their site.

We rec'd an email this morning from Paypal confirming "we have paid 219.95 using PaylPal".and will be charged to our credit card/account. When I went to the link to dispute transaction...

If you believe you do not have an account with PayPal, disregard this message. However, if you want to check further, log in to PayPal directly via Do not click any links in your email with dubious messages like this.

If you are now in PayPal, log in using your email address where this message was sent. Paypal will detect if this is a registered account or not. I highly suggest you check your bank accounts too for unscrupulous transactions.
