The absoluely enviromental friendly remedy is boiling water directly on the mound. Be careful of yourself and the hot water will kill other plants. This is 60 per cent effective so repeat as needed. The second home remedy is a mixture of 1 half ounces of Medina Orange Oil, 3 ounces of Dawn liquid soap nd 1 gallon of water. 99 per cent that the nest is gone.

How to get ride of Fire Ants?

Most people don't want to harm other animals when they are trying to get ride of fire ants? The best way to treat your yard and home for fire ants that is safe for your children and pets. Go to the grocery store and by a 10 pound bag of breakfast grits and spread them throughout your yard the same as you would any other lawn care product.Pay special attention to where they have barrow the main entrance to the nest and pour at least one cup of grits directly into the barrow. Take note of the weather you don't want to do this on a rainy day? Depending on how bad your ant problem is you may have to repeat this process in about a week.

What is the recipe for killing ants with borax

supplies Needed
 • 1/2 cup of sugar
 • 1 1/2 tablespoons Borax
 • 1 1/2 cups warm water
 • Cotton balls or paper towel
Instructions
1. Mix the Borax and sugar together until well combined.
2. Add the mixture to your warm water and mix constantly until the powder has been completely dissolved.
3. Seal the mixture in a jar or container for future use, and use only what you need in the next steps (and save the rest). It is important that you clearly label the jar, as it will just look like water. Do not leave this where children can get to it. (Because this is such an easy solution to make, however, I only kept what I made until after the ants had been gone for a week or more.)
4. Fill some jar lids, milk caps, or other shallow containers with cotton balls or a wad of paper towel.
5. Add the sugar-Borax solution to the prepared lids making sure to soak the cotton balls (or paper towel).
6. Wait. It may take the ants a while to find the solution. But, once they do, let them feast (and take the solution back to their home). At our house, to speed up the finding process, I placed a couple of the soaked cotton balls directly on the ledge in my kitchen where most of the ants were.
Be prepared - more ants will probably show up once they find the solution. However, within a day, you'll probably see much fewer ants. Over the course of just a few days, all of the ants should likely be gone. Because we had watched the ants quite a bit, we noticed where they were coming from and made sure to use a sealant to seal the area to stop them from coming back in the future.

now if this doesn't work i recommend organic chlorine_ such as DDT
highly toxic to humans so avoid contact but will keep the ants away for about 30 years or so

Have ants

Dust mites cannot be killed with insecticides. You must launder clothing, stuffed animals, and bedding in hot water and dry them on high heat. As for the other insects, I don't know what type of insecticide you are using. Please supply more information.

Maybe you didn't get the queen ant...lol. No really, ants in your fuse block? Gee, if any ants got near hot electrical parts of the running engine, you'd have a flying frying ant machine !
I think that's what you got to do, Tracy. That is, check for fried ants everywhere else. They killed your main relay. You need to clean out the whole relay block maybe.

Ants in and around it. How do I keep them from

In order to rid of ants you have to get them at the source, take your time and follow the trail to see where they are coming from. seal off (with caulking) any cracks you see them coming into. then inspect the perimiter and outside ares of your home for any ant mounds. i suggest you use temprid for the interior, you place the product in the area of the activity and let them take it. It is important that you do not kill the ants while you are trying to let them eat the material, the object is they take what you put out and take it back to the nest, in result killing the colony off. and outside i suggest you use granuals or a product called advance.
