SOURCE: I have no sound

Hello,

If your television have no sound or works for a period of time and goes out after a loud static noise, then there is a problem with the unit. Try to connect a DVD player to it to see if it will do the same, if it does the same, then it means the problem is from the television.

The problem is that the sound IC is bad and need to be replaced. The sound IC is on the main board, once the television is disassembled, you will have to trace the wires at the back of the speaker to the board it is mainly connected to, that is your sound IC, it is bad and need to be replaced

Hope this helped.
Goodluck

It'll work listening to the radio just fine for about 5 minutes, then the sound goes away.

If you are running at high volume for even a short period of time, the overload signal to the microprocessor(computer within your unit) will cause the unit to shut down. If you are running it that loud, try turning the level to 1/3 of your normal listening mode. If it runs, try to keep the volume with reason.

No sub woofer output or very little

Your sub amplifier is detecting an overdrive condition and reducing volume to prevent the output stage from burning up. When reduced volume doesn't work, output is cut completely for 10 minutes until things have cooled down.

Volume decreases drasticly after playing loud 15-20minutes

Shes overheating and thus goes into emergency mode and shuts down the volume to help cool down the built in amp . Dont know if it has a built in fan (likely not) but its overheating which can be a number of reasons why...from a failed heatsink componet, inadequet venting, shorted circuit. Can you take it out and inspect it?

Crate pa-b8350 While playing for a few minutes, it will fade out volume until you either turn a channel volume, master volume, or reset power. Neither of the 3 "fixes" mentioned above works all...

That sounds like a volume control IC that has become heat sensitive. In other words when it's cold it's normal and then when it's been on for a while it warms up and develops the fault. You can search for the faulty part by spraying it with Radio Freezer Spray. Do one part at a time. Wait for it to play up and blast it! If it goes back to normal you have found the faulty part.

Sounds like output valve, if the amp is more than few hundred hours then suspect this for sure. I don't know much about this amp specifically but does the sound fade/return suddenly or over a few seconds? Try running it with the back off and fan on the valves etc. Then play at loudness where problem occurs and see if any improvement. Remember that at band practice you always play much louder than you think and put a lot of stress on it.

I wired my dvc sub woofers to 4 ohms and bridged my pioneer gm-5400 amp and it cuts off when i turn the volume up.

1. Check if your power cable is of adequate Gauge 2. Try turning the volume down from the amplifier gain level 3. You could even check to see if your battery is on it's way out and just cant feed the amplifier with the power it needs. (very rare case) do the car lights dim when the volume is not really that loud? 4. There could be an error on the way the subs are connected, double check that you have absolutely configured them to run @ 4OHM. could be checked with a multimeter before connecting to the amplifier. 5. Another rare case is sometimes the fuse block expands when it heats up on loud volumes and can have contact issues so try tightening the socket that the fuse goes into. 6. It could also be a problem with one of the sub woofer or even the amplifier. more details might help me better understand the problem, but i hope this helps. dreamsystems

CRATE GX- 212 HUMS WHEN TURNED ON AND CHIRPS WHEN SHUT OFF. NEED SCHEMATIC AND ADVICE TO ISOLATE THE BAD CAP IN WHICH CIRCUIT THAT IT IS OSCILLATING.

Witth an oscilloscope analyze the ripple voltage across C67, C70, C14, and C12. Pay close attention to the last two of these which are on +/- 15 volt lines.

The "chirp" when shutting down is LIKELY normal and would probably be from teh DSP effects unit as it goes down. The voltages go out of the operating range and the device essentially goes nuts for a second or so.

A possible problem MIGHT be marginal switch contacts on the external foot controller cable. If you are not using the foot pedal, these contacts must maintain contact to keep the same channel selected.

Is there a spot you can install the Garmin that will reduce the heat build up within it? I've noted some audio issues (however not a loud high pitched sound) when my Garmin gets too warm from direct sunlight baking it (along with it's own internal heat build-up) I get a crackly, nasty sounding voice that goes away if I cool the unit down. I've since put mine on a stalk between the front seats out of direct sunlight, heater outlets and away from other audio output devices (heat and RF sources) and have eliminated any audio break down. Before I isolated the unit, allowing it to stay as cool as it could, I also noted that when one of my units gets very warm it would also drop satellite connection. Because of the delay you're experiencing (15 minutes) it sounds like a heat build up issue for you as well.
